Volume 1, Ch. 1 – 79: “Money Grubbing Madman”

Bright Wave Jie Faction

Chi Ye – Citizen of Dong Fu City, member of an unidentified sect. First mentioned in chapter 1, he is a powerful lord in Dong Fu City. He is said to have many concubines, who can be recognized from their long white outfits. He first appears in chapter 8, when he speaks with Xian’er (Mystery Crane Girl). Is presumed to serve the Master of Bright Wave Jie.

Old HeJindan of Bright Wave Jie. He first appears in chapter 71, he has travelled to Dong Fu as part of a group investigating Stars in Daytime. He is a dan-maker and forger, he originally wanted to purchase Golden Crow Pills from Wu Kong Sword Sect. His cultivation level is not explicitly stated, but he interacts with six Jindan xiuzhe as equals.

Yun XiaJindan of Bright Wave Jie (chapter 75). She first appears in chapter 69, where she is discussing the events of Stars in Daytime, and the Sword Test Conference with Tian Song Zi. She is described as being beautiful and having clear eyes, white teeth, and extremely graceful. She has a little light yellow bird as a pet named Huang.

Wen Tie (文铁散人) – Jindan of Sky Fiend Sect (chapter 78), Citizen of Bright Wave Jie. He first appears in chapter 71, he has travelled to Dong Fu as part of a group investigating Stars in Daytime. He attempts to capture Zuo Mo, after discovering the yin beads, and dies in chapter 78.

Xiao Huan – Servant of Yun Xia, citizen of Bright Wave Jie. She first appears in chapter 69 where she buys a grey marble from Zuo Mo.

Xue Yun (薛云) – Wen Tie sanren’s disciple. Interfered the second time Zuo Mo was preparing to sell yin beads to Xiao Huan.

Yuan Li (袁笠) – Jindan of Bright Wave Jie (chapter 75). He first appears in chapter 71, he has travelled to Dong Fu as part of a group investigating Stars in Daytime. He specializes in detection and tracking, dies off screen in chapter 75. It is unclear as to who killed Yuan Li, but hints suggest Yaomo had infiltrated Sky Moon Jie at this point.


Chi Sword Sect:

Shi Xiang (施祥) – a disciple in Chi Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 28, and is later identified as Shi Xiang in chapter 29. He stumbles upon Zuo Mos fight with Dong Qi Sword Sect disciples. Noticing Zuo Mos use of sword essence, he later attempts to recruit Zuo Mo into the Chi Sword Sect. He is shixiong to Liang Luo.

Liang Luo (梁洛) – First appears in chapter 28, and is later identified as Shi Xiang in chapter 29. He stumbles upon Zuo Mo`s fight with Dong Qi Sword Sect disciples. He accompanies Shi Xiang in his attempt to recruit Zuo Mo, he is shidi to Shi Xiang.


Dong Fu Hall:

Tian Song Zi (天松子) – Jindan and Sect leader of Dong Fu hall, descendant of Dong Fu Xianren, ruler of Dong Fu City, Host of the Sword Test Conference, and sufferer of collateral damage from Zuo Mo`s formation attacks. First appearing in chapter 23, where he greets Xin Yin and congratulates Wei Sheng on his success in entering zhuji. He is Yu Bai’s master.

Yu Bai (俞白): Eldest disciple of Dong Fu Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 38, he saves Zuo Mo from the assault of Dong Qi Sword Sect`s disciple. He is the favorite student of Tian Song Zi. Extremely warm and elegant, with exceptional talents. Extremely famous in the area of Dong Fu. Has good cultivation but lacks the experience of true battle. He later recommends Zuo Mo for the Sword Test Conference. He advances to the third round of the competition.


Dong Fu zhenren No known affiliations. First mentioned in chapter 1, she is the first and original lord of Dong Fu City. Lived 1500 years before the start of the story, legend states that she created the plateau on which Dong Fu City was built using a single sword slash.

Fu Jin (付金) – Citizen of Dong Fu City, no known affiliations. First appears in chapter 2, he is a shopkeeper familiar with Zuo Mo. He has average cultivation potential, and not very interested in cultivation, causing his level to still be lianqi third level. He decides to set up a business in Dong Fu. He is skilled at networking and has many suppliers for almost anything, like low level talismans and some spells. Zuo Mo commonly goes to him for business and is familiar with him. [Fu is paying, jin is gold. Literally paying gold.]


Dong Qi Sword Sect: Located on Plum Peak in Sky Moon Jie.

Unnamed Dong Qi Sword Sect Disciple – Disciple of Dong Qi Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 28, where he attacks Zuo Mo and Eastern Peak disciples. Appears again in 36 where he fights Zuo Mo once more. In chapter 40, it is revealed the disciple is expelled from Dong Qi Sword Sect.

Zong Ming Yan (宗铭雁) – Eldest disciple of Dong Qi Sword Sect, disciple of Zuo Mei Tian, Citizen of Sky Moon Jie. First appears in chapter 37, where he accompanies his shidi to buy a new sword. He later participates in the Sword Test Conference, advancing to the third round. He reappears in chapter 141, where he enters Zuo Mo’s [Skyring Moon Sound Formation]. He uses the Seven Plum Sword.

Zuo Mei Tian – Elder of Dong Qi Sword Sect. He is first mentioned in chapter 38, he never actually appears in the story. He is the master of Zong Ming Yan.


Group of Unknown Affiliation:

Silver-clad maleJindan (chapter 78) and roaming xiu, affiliations are unknown. He first appears in chapter 69, where he is discussing the search for an injured yaomo with a few others in Dong Fu.

Yellow-robed TaoistJindan (chapter 78) and roaming xiu, affiliations are unknown. He first appears in chapter 69, where he is discussing the search for an injured yaomo with a few others in Dong Fu.


Kun Lun Sword Sect:

Lin Qian – Eldest Shixiong of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 62, where he has Zuo Mo guide him through Dong Fu. Based on their time together Lin Qian and Zuo Mo build a very amicable relationship, and later they have many positive exchanges. Later appears during the sword competition, where he commands Su to search for something in the secret paradise of Dong Fu Sword Sect. In chapter 328, it is revealed that Lin Qian is manipulating many events in search of an escaped yaomo. Although strongly hinted throughout, it is not until chapter 432 that his identity is explicitly stated.


Li Xian Er – AKA “Mystery Crane Girl”, member of an unidentified sect, granddaughter of the sect master. First appears in chapter 7, where she sends a pink paper crane to Zuo Mo. Thinking that the crane is a normal Thousand Paper Crane, Zuo Mo responds antagonistically, and starts a strange long distance abusive relationship with the Mystery Crane Girl. On several occasions Zuo Mo nearly dies due to her antics.

Master Shao (邵师) – Citizen of Dong Fu City, owner of Food Pavilion, and creator of Wang Sou Wine. First appearing in chapter 53, he is one of the individuals waiting to buy the Great Strength Pill.

Master Xi Mo Da – Yao of renown. First mentioned in chapter 2, as being killed by Western Shang Sword Sect of Western Shang Jie. Xi Mo Da’s introduction is used to explain the world concept that xiuzhe are hunting yaomo for materials to build talismans.

Old Man Wang – Citizen of Dong Fu City. First appearing in chapter 53, he is one of the individuals waiting to buy the Great Strength Pill.

Wu Kong Sword Sect:

Wu Kong Sword Sect’s Inner Sect Ranking:

Qin Cheng, Luo Li, Xu Yi, Hao Min/Xu Yi Xia, Li Ying Feng, Wei Sheng, and Zuo Mo.

Later in the story:

Wei Sheng, Qin Cheng, Luo Li, Xu Yi, Hao Min/Xu Yi Xia, Li Ying Feng, Zuo Mo, and Xiao Gu. Only Wei Sheng changes in seniority as he becomes the successor.

A Bao – Ling beast of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First mentioned in chapter 9 and appears in chapter 10, A Bao is in the care of Xiao Guo.

Fei Yun (费云) – Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 6, he is responsible for working the Everything Pavilion, the sect store where disciples may sell or buy goods from the sect. [Fei also mean cost or fee]

Gongsun Qing (公孙晴) –Eldest Shijie of Wu Kong Sword Sect`s the inner sect disciples. She first appears in chapter 49. Supposedly, her betrothed is a disciple of a large sect.

Guo Lu (郭卢) – Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 13, he specializes in the use of the Art of Aged Gold and is hired by Old Black to treat the disease eating at his crops.

Hao Min (郝敏) – Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 4, she is responsible for managing Cold Mist Valley, and is known to have a fickle temperament and is extremely proud. Because she wished to go out on a trip with Luo Li, she had Zuo Mo take care of her fields in Cold Mist Valley. She is in a relationship with Luo Li, and is presumed to be Shi Feng Rong`s eldest disciple.

Li Ying Feng (李英凤) – Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 10, she is the eldest outer sect disciple and is the leader of the Eastern Peak disciples. She is an extremely kind and righteous person. She later enters zhuji off screen in chapter 21, making Zuo Mo the second eldest and second strongest of the outer sect disciples. She requests that Zuo Mo protect the female disciples of Eastern Peak as she would no longer be able to care for them. She is a disciple of Yan Le and manages many of Wu Kong Sword Sect’s businesses in Dong Fu.

Luo Li (罗离) – Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 4, ranked fourth among the inner sect disciples of Wu Kong Sword Sect. He is naturally cold, infatuated with the sword, and extremely talented. He is the only person who managed to successfully practice [Empty Sword] in the second generation of disciples. He is recognized as the most talented person in Wu Kong Sword Sect and the one most like to achieve the sect’s ultimate scripture [Void Sword]. He used to be infatuated with inner sect disciple Hao Min. He combines [Empty Sword] and [Shapeless Sword] into the [Self-Separation] sword scripture (chapter 137).

Old Black (老黑头) – Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 1, he can be considered the disciple living most difficulty in the outer sect. On good terms with Zuo Mo and Wei Sheng. He has been an outer sect disciple for twenty years in Wu Kong Sword sect. His cultivation is low, and has farmed ling grains for twenty years. He has a talented son in a small sword sect and needs to support his expenses. Old Black spends all his time on ling grains and barely makes enough jingshi to support his family.

Pei Yuan Ran (裴元然) – Sect Leader of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First mentioned in chapter 1, and appearing in chapter 15. Looks kind on the outside, is a good observer. Extremely desiring for the prosperity and rise of the sect. He takes Wei Sheng as his disciple and successor. When Sky Moon Jie is invaded, he leads Wu Kong Sword Sect to Bright Wave Jie. He makes the decision to abandon Desolate Wood Reef and decides to not send for Zuo Mo and the other disciples when the sect moves to Bright Wave Jie. [Yuan means first]

Qin Cheng (秦城) –  Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 49, he is the disciple of Pei Yuan Ran. He cultivates Wind and Thunder Sword Scripture. The original inner sect`s Eldest Shixiong before Wei Sheng displaces him.

Shi Feng Rong (施凤容) – Fourth Elder of Wu Kong Sword Sect. She first appears in chapter she is first mentioned in chapter 13 and appears in chapter 25, she is the master of Hao Min, Zuo Mo, and Xiao Gu. She specializes in ling dan making and uses a plant essence based sword art.

Wei Nan (魏南)Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First introduced as an unknown disciple, he is later named in chapter 35. He is a senior disciple many from many years in the past. He is a ling plant farmer, forger, the original owner of Zuo Mo`s residence, and is also the person that dug out the small cave in West Wind Valley. Zuo Mo finds his body and buries him, Zuo Mo can be considered his unofficial successor.

Wei Sheng (韦胜) – Sword Slave to Lu Lei, Eldest Shixiong of Wu Kong Sword Sect, and sword fanatic. First mentioned in chapter 10 and appearing in chapter 19. He practices the [Void Sword Scripture]. Wei Sheng requests Zuo Mo’s services as a ling plant farmer to grow a third-grade Fire Dragon Grass. He later enters zhuji with Zuo Mo’s aid in chapter 23. He is the reason Zuo Mo is inspired to practice the sword. Later he forms a deep bond with Zuo Mo as they are considered the new blood of the inner disciples of Wu Kong Sword Sect. He escapes Sky Moon Jie with his master and sect elders with the yaomo invade. He is sent with Lin Qian to “take back” Sky Moon Jie. While aiding Lin Qian, he explores the sword cave in Wu Kong Mountain, finding a jade pendant and a black sword, he later disappears in chapter 328. He reappears in Constant Scarlet Jie at the Battle of Sealed Extinction in chapter 341, and rejoins Zuo Mo in chapter 364. He reaches Jindan in chapter 361. In chapter 370 he gives the jade pendant he found to Zuo Mo to study. He uses the sixth-grade [Void Sword Scripture].

Xiao Guo (小果) – AKA “Apple Face”, Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 9, but is named in chapter 10. She is a ling beast keeper on the Eastern Peak of Wu Kong Mountain. She has an apple face, and a tendency to cry. With Zuo Mo’s help she enters zhuji in chapter 111. Becoming the third disciple under Shi Feng Rong. She later escapes with her master to Bright Moon Jie. She is gifted many things by Zuo Mo, including: Wei Sheng’s jade scroll, Zuo Mo’s elemental spell jade scroll, the Peach Wood hairpin, [Blue Flower] sword scripture. [Her name literally means little fruit]

Xin Yan (辛岩) AKA “Ice Dragon Sword”, Second Elder of Wu Kong Sword Sect. He first appears in chapter 15, he gained fame in his younger days in Bloody Sky Metropolis Jie. His personality is stern and he is focused entirely on cultivating his sword arts. He practices the [Ice Dragon Sword Scripture]. He is the master of Xu Yi, and is skilled in forging.

Xu Qing (许晴) Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. She first appears in chapter 41. The first seat of the outer sect female disciples in Shi Feng Rong’s Fragrant Ginger Yard.

Xu Yi (许逸) – Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 3, he is the third ranked disciple among the inner sect and is Xin Yan’s disciple. He is known to use the Green Water Jade Bell Set. He is presumably Xu Yi Xia’s relative.

Xu Yi Xia (须依夏) – Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 58. Personality lively, yet extremely cunning. She is close to the original inner sect disciples like Luo Li. She is presumably Xu Yi’s relative.

Yan Le (阎乐): Ranking third in the elder generation of Wu Kong Sword Sect. Jindan cultivation. He is first mentioned in chapter 3 but does not appear until chapter 13. Responsible for the business transactions outside Wu Kong Sword Sect. [Le can mean happy or cheerful, Yan Le’s usually personality]

Zuo Mo (左莫) – Main character of the novel. Go read it. I’m not telling you anything. Chapters of note: 1-915.


Wu Ming (吴明) – Citizen of Dong Fu City. First mentioned in chapter 49 and appearing in chapter 53. He is the first to discover the effects of the Great Strength Pill. [His name is a homonym for no-name]

Volume 2, Ch.79 to 155: “A Problematic Youth”

Fu Feng`s Faction:

Fu Feng (傅峰) – (Translator Note: Mistranslated as Bo Feng in early chapters.) Unknown affiliation. First appears in chapter 140 as the “yellow-faced man”, he is identified as Bo Feng in chapter 184. He later appears in Desolate Wood Reef where he is chasing the Black Wind Bandits. His group of roaming xiu take over a secret realm and stay in Sky Moon Jie even after the yaomo invade. As of chapter 184 he leads a group of 34 xiuzhe.

Gui Feng (鬼风) – Disciple of an unnamed sect, possibly roaming xiu. First mentioned in chapter 95, appears in chapter 137. He cultivates the [Little Ghost Sword]. He later joins Fu Feng’s group.

Chang Heng (常横) – Disciple of Ling Ying Sect. He first appears in chapter 95, where he accepts Zuo Mo’s challenge. He does not cultivate a scripture from Ling Ying Sect. He is extremely proud and vicious. He uses the Blood Spider Sword. He later competes in the Sword Test Conference. Afterwards he joins Fu Feng’s group.


Dong Fu Hall:

Nan Men Yang (南门阳) – Roaming xiu, man with a big sword, disciple of Dong Fu Hall. First mentioned in chapter 95 and appears in chapter 138.  He cultivates the second-grade [Vajra Scripture] and uses the [Mountain Breaker Sword]. He is a roaming xiu, but is recruited into Dong Fu Hall after the Sword Test Conference.

Famously Quoted as saying: “Look at what swords you guys are using, they are thin like chopsticks, are they even usable? A man should use a sword like this!” He raised the door-sized sword in his hand, and waved it, and proudly said, “Don’t understand? I’m telling you this in confidence. An’s lover told an, need big! Need big! Need bigger! A real man uses a big sword!”


Fort Chao:

Chao An (晁安) – Disciple of Fort Chao Sect, Citizen of Fort Chao. First appearing in chapter 121 he is Zuo Mo’s opponent in the Sword Test Conference. He cultivates the [Fiery Scripture] and uses a hammer.


He Rong – Shop owner from Dong Fu. First shows up in chapter 90, where he offers to buy all of Zuo Mo’s Fiery Red flower crop.

Heart Lake Sect from Clear Sky Lake:

Gu Rong Ping (古容平) – Disciple of Clear Sky Lake Sword Sect, Citizen of Tian Ming Hu (Clear Sky Lake). First mentioned in chapter 95, appears in chapter 121. He is called the greatest of the young generation of Clear Sky Lake, a disciple of Heart Lake Sword Sect. Don’t be fooled by his gentle and refined appearance. His “First in Clear Sky Lake” was based on true battle. From two years ago, he started to fight sect after sect, never losing which earned him his nickname. He cultivates the [Heart Lake Sword]. During the Sword Test Conference’s third round he battles Wei Sheng and barely manages a win.

Su (素) – Disciple of Clear Sky Lake Sword Sect, Citizen of Tian Ming Hu (Clear Sky Lake). First appears in chapter 107 when she asks Zuo Mo to cut the Cold Magnet, but is not identified until chapter 121, where she makes a bet with Chao An over his match with Zuo Mo. Later in chapter 129 she asks Zuo Mo to forge sword billets from the Cold Magnet for her, trading for protection in the final round and a discount on the Five Element Pagoda. She uses the Cold Magnet to forge the [Magnet Polarity Sword].


Ling Ying Sect:

Chang Heng (常横) – Disciple of Ling Ying Sect. He first appears in chapter 95, where he accepts Zuo Mo’s challenge. He does not cultivate a scripture from Ling Ying Sect. He is extremely proud and vicious. He uses the Blood Spider Sword. He later competes in the Sword Test Conference. Afterwards he follows Bo Feng.

Feng Qing (冯青) – ­ Ling Ying Sect’s sect leader. First appearing in chapter 135, he is not named until 138. He makes a bet with Pei Yuan Ran.

Hu Shan (胡山) – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 81, he challenges Zuo Mo and is introduced to the Scalping Zombie. He uses a Streaming Fire ling gathering pendant as well as a third-grade fire sabre.

Lin Yuan (林远) – Eldest disciple of Ling Ying Sect. Has personal connections with Ling Ying Sect. His family is a famous mechant house in Sky Moon Jie, and the first among the disciples. His family provides great aid to Ling Ying Sect, causing his position among the disciples to be extremely different. He is the first to accept Zuo Mo’s challenge to Ling Ying Sect.

Ming Dao (明道) – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 86, he goes to Wu Kong Sword Sect to challenge the Scalping Zombie. He uses a protective copper bell talisman and the Wind Passing boots.

Tao Zhu Er (陶姝儿) – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 81, she uses pink peach blossom armor and a Peach Wood hairpin. Described as extremely graceful, sweet and youthful, lights flashing in her eyes.

Wang Shixiong – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 96 as an unnamed disciple, he is the second to accept Zuo Mo’s challenge. He is identified as Wang Shixiong in chapter 97 but is never fully identified. He remains obscure to this day. His fighting style is the expensive seal-medicine-style. At sixteen talismans, to date, he is the enemy that uses the most talismans in a single fight. The only one to use more is Zuo Mo. He also uses the second-grade seal soldier.

Wen Fei (文飞) – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 86,  he is considered the third strongest of Ling Ying Sect’s inner disciples. First appearing in chapter 86, he challenges the Scalping Zombie. He uses the third-grade Sky River Fan and the Black Blue Water ring.

Yan Ming Zi (燕明子) – Inner sect disciple of Ling Ying Sect. First appearing in chapter 81, he challenges Zuo Mo and is introduced to the Scalping Zombie. He uses the third-grade Water Drop sword and later replaces it with the third-grade [Deep Ocean].


Master Xu – Unknown affiliation. He first appears in chapter 126, where he is being interviewed to explain Zuo Mo’s match against Chao An.

Meng Qing (蒙青) – Roaming xiu, mercenary and assassin. First appearing in chapter 140, he if of ningmai cultivation, skilled at concealment but his other spells are average. Has the experience of once escaping from the pursuit of jingdan cultivators. One of the one hundred people that entered the last round of Dong Fu Sword Test Conference. He is hired by Chao An to kill Zuo Mo as revenge, but is the first eliminated in the competition when he runs into Luo Li.

Unaffiliated roaming xiu:

Red-robed Male: Unknown affiliation. First appearing in chapter 109 in Dong Fu City and appears again later in Desolate Wood Reef chapter 181. He is of ningmai cultivation. Came to Zuo Mo to process an Inky Black Lotus Seed and offers to trade [Skyring Moon Sound Formation] in exchange. He is last seen heading to Little Mountain Jie right before numerous reports of attacks jie river arrive.

Eagle-nosed Man: Unknown affiliation. First appearing in chapter 109 in Dong Fu City and appears again later in Desolate Wood Reef in chapter 181. He is of ningmai cultivation. Eternally dark expression on his face. Part of the red-robed male’s group. He is last seen heading to Little Mountain Jie right before numerous reports of attacks jie river arrive.

Snarling Brawny Man: Unknown affiliation. First appearing in chapter 109 in Dong Fu City and appears again later in Desolate Wood Reef chapter 181. He is of ningmai cultivation. Extremely unreasonable. Part of the red-robed male’s group. He is last seen heading to Little Mountain Jie right before numerous reports of attacks jie river arrive.


Wei Fei – Jindan cultivator of unknown affiliation. He first appears in chapter 148. Has been famed in Sky Moon Jie for a long time. A judge in the Dong Fu Sword Test Conference.

“Wei Ping” ­– Unknown affiliation, but is likely yaomo. First appearing in chapter 133, he is disguised as Wei Ping and is killed by Lin Qian. His true identity is unknown, but it is possible he is Old Luo.

Wu Ling  (五陵散人): Jindan cultivator of unknown affiliation. He first appears in chapter 148. He is a rare xiuzhe that is skilled in formations. A judge in the Dong Fu Sword Test Conference. He later helps the Wu Kong Sword Sect Elder’s create a valley wide sword essence formation to train Zuo Mo.

Volume 3, Ch. 156-236: “Seeking Survival on a Desolate Island”

Black Wind Bandits:

Unnamed bandit – member of the Black Wind Bandits. First appearing in chapter 185, he uses the Dark Yin Banner, created from partial instructions. The banner is really the Dark Yin Banner. He and four other bandits engage in battle with Zuo Mo above Desolate Wood Reef. He dies in chapter 185.

Wei Rong – Second seat of the Crow Wind Bandits. First appearing in chapter 183, his fate is unclear. He either dies during the attack or is enslaved by Pu and later sacrificed in the Nether Pool.

Zhang Hao (章豪) – Bandit leader of the Crow Wind Bandits. First appearing in chapter 183, he leads a bandit group that dominated Sky Moon Jie. A powerful expert among the ningmai cultivators, his sword essence has reached the level of “Heart Turn Sword Essence”. He leads an attack on Desolate Wood Reef, dying in chapter 190. He uses the [Shadowless] Cape, which Zuo Mo loots and uses later in chapter 267.

Zou Han (邹寒) – Second seat of the Crow Wind Bandits. First appearing in chapter 183, he has ningmai cultivation. Uses a poisonous fan talisman. Once had been defeated by Wei Sheng of Wu Kong sword Sect and left with a crippled leg. He was saved by Zhang Hao but has a grudge against Wu Kong Sword Sect. He convinces the Black Wind Bandits to attack Desolate Wood Reef, dying in chapter 191.


 

Clear Sky Sect:

Old Sky ForefatherJindan and Sect leader of Clear Sky Sword Sect. He is first mentioned in chapter 211, first appears in chapter 236 but does not appear again until chapter 297. He later dies in chapter 302.


 

Hong Yang – Merchant of Sky Moon Jie. First appearing in chapter 199, he is escaping from Sky Moon Jie. He sells several talismans to Zuo Mo to outfit the Golden Armored Guards. His fate is unknown as he enters the jie river shortly before reports of attacks arrive.

Nan Ming Zi (南明子) – Roaming xiu. First appearing in chapter 170, he arrives at Desolate Wood Reef. He is of ningmai cultivation and uses owns a date seed ship as well as the fourth-grade Teeth Vine material.

Yao:

Mu Xi (木希) – Member of the Palace Lake Wood Clan, Wood Yao, Silver Battle General, and one of several Battalion commanders of the Council of Elder’s elite forces. First appears in 201 remaining unnamed until chapter 203, she leads an attack on Desolate Wood Reef, her soft-hearted demeanor allows Zuo Mo, Chun Yu Cheng, and Gongsun Cha to escape the attack. She later takes up encampment on the ruins of Wu Kong Sword Sect, resulting in an encounter in chapter 328 with Lin Qian’s and Kun Lun Sword Sect’s forces. Is later thought to be favored by the Council of Elder’s and is being groomed to become a prominent figure in Yao society. Her personality is described as being steadfast and averse to taking risks.

Yan Feng – a commander serving Mu Xi. First appearing in chapter 203, he is a fire yao, and is considered an equal to Mu Xi. Due to an unclarified fight, he is demoted and serves as a commander under Mu Xi.

Yan Yue – Corps Commander of the Thirteenth Corps. First appears in chapter 210, is responsible for blockading the Bright Wave Jie.

Jin Bao Zheng – Corps Commander of the Sixth Corps. First appears in chapter 210, is responsible for blockading the jie river to South Beauty Jie.


 

Unaffiliated roaming xiu:

Red-robed Male, Eagle-nosed Man, Snarling Brawny Man: Unknown affiliation. First appearing in chapter 109 in Dong Fu City and appear again later in Desolate Wood Reef chapter 181. Refer to volume 2 cast for more details.


 

Wu Kong Sword Sect:

Chun Yu Cheng (淳于成) – Ling beast maniac, white jade medal certified beast speaker, disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 173 he is one of the Wu Kong Sword Sect disciples that followed Zuo Mo to Desolate Wood Reef. White and clean, refined like a scholar, yet he has a jade medal for being a butcher. He smiles shyly like the neighbor’s little boy. He is persuaded by Zuo Mo to build a Nether Pool. Later producing several ling important butterflies, and hundreds of other ling beasts. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479. [Ten Thousand Beast Body Rearing Spell]

Gongsun Cha  (公孙差) – AKA Lil’ Miss, green jade medal certified butcher, disciple of Wu Kong Sword sect, Head and commander of Vermillion Bird Camp forces. First mentioned in chapter 173 and appearing in 176, he joins the sect during Wu Kong Sword Sect’s push for expansion, when news arrives about Desolate Wood Reef being abandoned by Wu Kong Sword Sect he chooses to stay with Zuo Mo. He later escapes to Little Mountain Jie with Zuo Mo and Chun Yu Cheng. By chance he encounters War Chess, and quickly becomes proficient in war strategy. He is considered Pu Yao’s second disciple (only by Pu Yao). He uses the Green Cloud Sword and Sky Ray Treasure Lens.


Venerable Chi’s Bandits:

Big Kong – Bandits of Little Mountain Jie, members of Venerable Chi’s bandits. First appearing in chapter 227, he is the eldest of the three brothers and he is the stealthiest of Venerable Chi’s group. During a scouting mission he is caught by Ma Fan and Xie Shan and killed in chapter 228.

Kong Brothers – Bandits of Little Mountain Jie, members of Venerable Chi’s bandits. The three brothers first appear in chapter 227. Big Kong was killed by Xie Shan and Ma Fan. This lead to the other two brothers demanding revenge, when Venerable Chi asks that they wait, they initiate an attack on Zuo Mo’s group against Venerable Chi’s orders.

Venerable Chi – Bandit leader in Little Mountain Jie, member of Vermillion Bird Camp. First appears in chapter 226. He leads a large group of bandits, initially withdrawing into hiding when he encounters Zuo Mo and Gongsun Cha’s troop. He is the original owner of the Sonic Lighting Walnut tree. His group surrenders in chapter 236, but the entire group is killed as captives in chapter 236.


Zuo Mo’s group:

Bao De (鲍德) – Bandit leader, member of Vermillion Bird Camp. First appearing in chapter 217, he leads the second group that was captured and was the enemy in Gongsun Cha’s first battle. He is the reason Xie Shan’s group was targeted.

Ji Cheng Wei – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, co-supervisor of Golden Crow Camp. First appearing in chapter 240, they are selected as supervisors of the forging xiuzhe. Later he helps establish the Golden Crow Camp, who swear unwavering loyalty to Zuo Mo. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479. Fang Xiang will often forget his name and call him Ji Wei or Cheng Wei.

Lei Peng – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, bandit, and saber xiu of Sky Peak Platoon. First appearing in chapter 209 as a nameless bandit leader, he is later identified in chapter 227.  He is part of the first group of xiu to be captured and trained by Lil’ Miss. His figure is large and burly, he one of the largest in Vermillion Bird Camp and Sky Peak Platoon, only outsized by the 1 zhang figures of Guard Camp. Despite his brutish appearance, Lei Peng is considered to be quite devious and cunning. In chapter 424, he gains the top tier fifth-grade Golden Crystal broadsword. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479.

Ma Fan (麻凡) – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, bandit, and sword xiu of Sky Peak Platoon. First appears in chapter 209. He is one of the first to be forced to join Zuo Mo’s troop, and is favored by Gongsun Cha. He practices a mishmash of sword arts, including [Illusory Shadowless Sword of Destruction] and [Clear Sky Sword Scripture], he specializes in stealth and explosive power attacks. He is described as lazy and can often be found sleeping while chewing on a blade of grass or straw. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479. His name means “Troublesome”.

Nian Lu (年绿) – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, bandit, and sword xiu of Sky Peak Platoon. First appearing in chapter 209 as a nameless bandit leader, he is later identified in chapter 227.  He is part of the first group of xiu to be captured and trained by Lil’ Miss. He is handsome and very narcissistic. He his sword art results in a sword essence of flower blossoms and flower petals. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479.

Sun Bao – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, co-supervisor of Golden Crow Camp. First appearing in chapter 240, they are selected as supervisors of the forging xiuzhe. Later he helps establish the Golden Crow Camp, who swear unwavering loyalty to Zuo Mo. He becomes Jindan in chapter 479.

Zong Ru (宗如) – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, bandit, and dhyana xiu of Sky Peak Platoon. First appearing in chapter 209 as a nameless bandit leader, he is later identified in chapter 227.  He is part of the first group of xiu to be captured and trained by Lil’ Miss. He practices and unnamed scripture and later practices [Attainment Golden Body]. He enters Jindan in chapter 392 and obtains Buddhahood Abandonment Death Wish power. He uses the Crossed Prayer Wheel talisman, forged with the sixth-grade Nine Turn Sky Earth Disk as the body and the fourth-grade Vajra Gada as the spoke. In chapter 394 it is revealed he has obtained Dragon and Elephant Attainment.

Volume 4, Ch.237-319: Volume Four “Zuo Mo’s Counterattack”

Clear Sky Sword Sect:

He Xiang – Chief Elder of Clear Sky Sect’s Outer Hall. First appears in chapter 241 as he takes control of Nan Sheng Village. He makes periodic appearances throughout the arc, leading the troops of the outer hall. He later dies in chapter 292, making him one of the longest lived antagonists in the novel.

Huang Zhuo Guang – Eldest Shixiong of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First mentioned in chapter 266 and appearing in chapter 272. He encounters Zuo Mo during an attempt at breaking into a Secret Realm, in which Silly Bird has run off to. He uses the fourth-grade Silver Snowy Flying Sword, he later battles Zheng Zhong and Zuo Mo, dying in chapter 276.

Hong Jun Xuan – Second Eldest Disciple of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 291, he leads a group of inner sect disciples to Golden Crow City. Seeing the failure of He Xiang, he takes command of the troops taking the opportunity to take Huang Zhuo Guang`s place. He is later captured by Vermillion Bird Camp and is executed in chapter 296.

Lei Hao – Disciple of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First mentioned in chapter 267, and appearing in chapter 272. He is one of Huang Zhuo Guang`s twenty two followers, he is interrogated by Zuo Mo regarding the whereabouts of Silly Bird. Presumed dead in chapter 272.

Liu Dong Hua – Eldest Shixiong of a branch of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 265, one of four individuals that encounter Zuo Mo as he chases Silly Bird. He attempts to undermine Lei Hao`s venture into a secret realm, and encounters Zuo Mo in the process. He uses the sixth-grade Nine Turn Sky Soil Disk. He dies in chapter 270. Along with two shidi from his branch.

Lu Hui – Disciple of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 266, encounters Zuo Mo and attempts to coerce him with Clear Sky Sword Sect`s name. Dies in chapter 267, naked and without his worldly possessions.

Second Elder of the Outer Hall – Elder of Clear Sky Sword Sect`s Outer Hall. First appears in chapter 287, remains unnamed, and dies in chapter 289.

Old Sky ForefatherJindan and Sect leader of Clear Sky Sword Sect. He is first mentioned in chapter 211, first appears in chapter 236 but does not appear again until chapter 297. He later dies in chapter 302.

Unnamed Shimei – Disciple of Clear Sky Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 265, one of four individuals that encounter Zuo Mo as he chases Silly Bird. She uses a Fire-Tail fox, she dies in an ambush in chapter 267.

Yu An – Member of of Clear Sky Sect’s Outer Hall. First appears in 252 where he Nan Sheng Villages troops to track down Ma Fans divison.


Dao Zi – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, bandit member of Jiang Wei`s troop, and roaming xiu. First appears in chapter 259, he leads a 100 man troop to attack Golden Crow City. Presumed dead in chapter

Dong Cheng – Elder of Clear Sky Sword Sect`s Outer Hall. First appearing in chapter 281, he is presumed dead in chapter 281.

Fei Shan – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, Immigrant to Bright Water Jie. He first appears in chapter 316, he is one of the many xiuzhe that rally behind the Master of Golden Crow City.

Golden Crow City:

A Gui – Unknown affiliation. She is first mentioned in chapter 231 where she attacks a Yao commander stationed near Desolate Wood Reef. She first appears in chapter 237, where she is rescued by Zuo Mo’s troop from the Jie river in Little Mountain Jie. It is hinted that she is related to Zuo Mo’s past, although the exact nature of the relationship is unclear. She remains unnamed until chapter —. Her name means Ghost.

A Wen – AKA Little Monkey, AKA Sky Number One, slave of Hundred Flower Alliance, and youngest member of Guard Camp. First mentioned in chapter 309 and appearing in chapter 310, he escapes from the Hundred Flower Alliance, and encounters the Guard Camp. Being that Guard Camp were originally slaves to Hundred Flower Alliance, Guard Camp rescues him. A Wen is a talented xiu, and is the survivor of many coliseum battles. He cultivates the Hardship Guard, but has discovered the path of Shadow Mo Guard, which specializes in speed. This differentiates him from the rest of Guard Camp.

Bao Yi – Quartermaster for Zuo Mo’s troops, shop owner in Nan Sheng Village. First appearing in chapter 242, he is acquainted with Xie Shan, and is quickly convinced to join Zuo Mo’s troop. Bao Yi has a standing conflict with He Xiang, which leads to his business’ decline.  He manages Zuo Mo’s wealth and resources.

Hei Zi – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, Member of Vermillion Bird Camp. He first appears in chapter 243, he is a troop leader training the new captives. he first appears in chapter 305.

LilFire</strong> – Pet to Zuo Mo, Member of the LilGang. First appearing in chapter 283, LilFire is birthed from Fire Sickle Rock by Zuo Mo. LilFires personality is innocent and behaves as the youngest member of the LilGang. He is the most playful of the bunch and can often be found playing with Lil`Pagoda, snuggling with A Gui, or sleeping in her hair.

Liu Gui – Bandit of Little Mountain Jie, member of Vermillion Bird Camp. First appears in chapter 271. Lead by Zheng Zhong, he is one of eight xiu that infiltrate Huang Zhuo Guang`s group, in an attempt to steal the treasure of the secret realm. He is later one of 18 xiu that follow Zuo Mo back to Golden Crow City.

Shu Long – Slave of Clear Sky Sword Sect, slave of Hundred Flower Alliance, leader of Guard Camp, and can be considered a half disciple to Pu Yao. First appears in chapter 261 as an unnamed slave, he is identified as Shu Long in chapter 264. He is later selected by Zuo Mo as the highest ranking supervisor to manage Guard Camp due to his seniority, he practices the Hardship Guard and later the Great Day Hardship Guard. He is the first to form his Hardship Guard Armor in chapter 297. His favored weapon is the halberd, he forms one from Killing Essence (chapter 330), and later obtains a Mo weapon of similar design (chapter 470). Having survived many years of hardship as a slave, Shu Long is older than his fellow slaves. Shu long is selected to lead Guard Camp, was formerly a talentless sword xiu, and faithfully follows Zuo Mo after his rescue from Clear Sky Sword Sect.

Wei Cheng Bin – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, member of Golden Crow Camp. First appearing in 243, he is a forging xiu of some talent and is coerced by Lei Peng when he shows up to the safe house. After being “recruited” he displays his talent and is favored by Sun Bao. Later in chapter 331, Wan Tian convinces him to study the black fiendish energy. With Wan Tian greatly contributes to the construction and forging of the Crimson Fiend Cauldron.

Wei Ran – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, bandit leader, battalion commander of Golden Crow City forces. First appearing in chapter 244, he leads a portion of Lil’ Miss’ forces on a “recruitment mission” to Nan Sheng Village, afterwards he quickly rises to become a prominent member of the troop. Uses the Black Ling Hiding Umbrella in chapter 321, to conceal troop movements when attacking Wood Sword Sect and Cloud Divine Sect.

Yuan Jiang – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, roaming xiu, member of Golden Crow Camp. First appearing in chapter 247, is a identified in 248 as Yuan Jiang. He is the only City Planning xiu that suggests a viable plan for Golden Crow City.

Zheng Zhong Bandit leader of Little Mountain Jie, member of Vermillion Bird Camp. First appears in chapter 271, where he leads a group of eight xiu that infiltrate Huang Zhuo Guang`s group, in an attempt to steal the treasure of the secret realm. He is later one of 18 xiu that follow Zuo Mo back to Golden Crow City.

He Qiu – Sect leader of Cloud Divine Sect. First appearing in chapter 317, he is present at the meeting with Yan Yang.


Hundred Flower Alliance:

Gao Jian Ting – Jindan and Elder of Hundred Flower Alliance, Guard of the Jie river to Little Mountain Jie.

Su Yue – Sect Leader of Hundred Flower Alliance. First appearing in chapter 307, she is described as a beauty, but she is also cunning and devious. She dies in chapter 315 after the discovery of the Flower slaves.

Bai Ru Fen – Disciple of Hundred Flower Alliance. First appearing in chapter 310, where she chases A Wen. She engages in battle with Guard Camp, dying to Shu Long in chapter 310.

Elder Wang – Elder of Hundred Flower Alliance. First appearing in chapter 310, she is described as being the youngest and most beautiful of the elders, younger than even Su Yue. She is known to use the sixth-grade Begonia Palace Lantern, and engages in battle with Guard Camp dying in chapter 315.

Elder Mei – Elder of Hundred Flower Alliance. First appearing in chapter 310, she is described as having the worst temper of the three Hundred Flower Alliance Elders. She engages in battle with Vermillion Bird Camp, later dying in chapter 315.

Elder Xiao – Elder of Hundred Flower Alliance. First appearing in chapter 310, she is described as being at the peak of the first striatum of Jindan and wishes to use A Wen as a living cauldron to advance her cultivation. She cultivates [Sky Flower Fall], an illusory art that shows the victim carnal pleasures and is used to counter dhyana xiu. She engages in battle with Zuo Mo in chapter 311 and later dies in chapter 315.


Jiang Hao – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, bandit member of Jiang Weis troop, and roaming <em>xiu</em>. First appears in chapter 258, he is part of the troop Jiang Wei leads to attack Golden Crow City. He is Jiang Weis younger brother.

Jiang Wei – Citizen of Little Mountain Jie, bandit leader, and roaming xiu. First appears in chapter 256, as a scout observing Zuo Mo`s troops. He is the younger brother of Jiang Hao.

Li Xiao Si – Bandit leader from Little Mountain Jie. First appearing in chapter 319. He leads a group of xiuzhe to Bright Water City when the rallying call is sent out.

Marquis Wu – Citizen of Sky Water Jie, the Crow Marquis. First introduced in chapter 280 as a nameless character, his status is later clarified in chapter 282, but remains unnamed until chapter 286. The Marquis is described as a middle-aged man, he sends Rong Wei to Little Mountain Jie to investigate “Stars in Daytime”. He does not appear again after chapter 280. His origins are unclear and are never explained.

Mystery Daren and his middle-aged Advisor – Affiliation: unknown sect. First appearing in 284 as unnamed characters the two periodically appear during the lead up to the final battle with Clear Sky Sword Sect. The two characters act as commentators to the battle and changes in Golden Crow City. They belong to is a large unnamed sect, but it is not Kun Lun, as in chapter 294 they suggest that the newly formed Vermillion Bird Camp would be ranked in the top 10 in their sect.

Old Man Yang – Bandit leader from Little Mountain Jie. First appearing in chapter 319. He leads a group of xiuzhe to Bright Water City when the rallying call is sent out.

Rong Wei – Bronze Green Battle General, Citizen of Sky Water Jie, Member of the Crow MarquisHouse. She first appears in chapter 280 as an unnamed subordinate to a mysterious middle-aged man, she is identified in chapter 282. She first makes contact with Gongsun Chas troop in Little Mountain Jie, and follows them back to Golden Crow City. She later gifts Zuo Mo with a Jie map and acts as their guide to Sky Water Jie. Her personality is stoic and cautious, she dreams to serve as a battle general for Marquis Wu, but does not have a troop of her own.

Tian Sheng Yao division commander, direct subordinate of the Elder Council. First appears in chatper 281, where he is ordered to advance to Little Mountain Jie and take over the jie river leading to Sky Water Jie.

Tian Ling Zi – Leader of an unnamed group in Bright Water Jie. He first appears in chapter 316 as an unnamed character, later identified in chapter 317. He leads a troop to Hundred Flower Valley and leads one of three troops to engage in battle with Golden Crow City`s forces after their battle with Hundred Flower Alliance, dying in chapter 318.

Wang Hong – Is in actuality Zuo Mo. Alias used in chapter 271.

Yan Yang – Jindan and current leader of Wood Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 317, where he rallies the forces of Bright Water City to attack Golden Crow City`s forces. He sends his disciple Gao Xiu to lead Wood Sword Camp and engage with Golden Crow City forces. In chapter 325, requests the aid of his Shishu, to exact revenge on Golden Crow City’s forces.

Yellow-robed old TaoistJindan of Bright Water City, Citizen of Bright Water Jie. First appears in chapter 308, he attacks Zuo Mo`s group to steal the sixth-grade Nine Turn Sky Soil Disk. Dying in chapter 308, he leaves an inheritance of a jie map and the fifth-grade Evil Subduing Peak to Zuo Mo.

Zheng Wei – Bandit leader from Little Mountain Jie. First appearing in chapter 316 as an unnamed character and is later identified in chapter 319. He leads a group of xiuzhe to Bright Water City when the rallying call is sent out.

Volume 5, Ch. 320-455: “Charge Out of the Ancient Battlefield”

A Mu Lian – Young lady from Xu Ling City that flirts with Gongsun Cha in chapter 439.

Black Gold Seal Soldier – First appears in 449, as a puppet of Gu Xiang Tian but is taken as a spoil of battle by Zuo Mo. In chapter 463, the Black Gold Seal Soldier is reforged and becomes sentient. Wei identifies the Black Gold Seal Soldier as a Totem Puppet in chapter 464.

Blue Flower Family: Famed for their high yao art, [Blue Flower] technique, but it is said to be incomplete (377) missing the last 3 chapters.

Qinghua Zang Shui – Member of the Genius Alliance, and member of Blue Flower Family from Cloud Ridge Jie. First Appears in chapter 367, he is greatly upset by Zuo Mo causing mental damage and ejection from the First Finger Prison. He later battles Zuo Mo and Loyal Yao. He practices the [Blue Flower] technique.

Qinghua Xue – Member of Blue Flower Family from Cloud Ridge Jie, younger sister of Qinghua Zang Shui. She first appears in 377, and is considered far more talented than her brother. She battles Xiao Mo Ge at Wasteland Beast Chessboard Prison as revenge for her older brother. She practices the [Blue Flower] technique.


Genius Alliance:

Gathering of the greatest talents of the Yao, famed for their ability and subsequent high rate of advancement to Sky Yao.

Feng Xin Zi – High level supervisor of the Genius Alliance. First appearing in chapter 378, he defeats the Prison Breaking Battle of the third Prison.

He Mei – Member of the Genius Alliance First appears in chapter 410.

Huai Boy – Supervisor of the Genius Alliance. First appears in 360, he leads the group sent by the Genius Alliance to break Zuo Mo’s Wasteland Beast Chessboard. He comes from a poor family and must rely on the Genius Alliance to gain access to High Yao arts. He successfully activates the prison breaking battle in Zuo Mo’s Wasteland Beast Chessboard (chapter 362).

Jin Ling – Member of the Genius Alliance. First appears in chapter 358, he joins the group sent by the Genius Alliance to break Zuo Mo’s Wasteland Beast Chessboard.

Ji Heng – Member of the Genius Alliance. First appears in chapter 408.

Ji Li Yu – See Ji Family.

Ming Yue Ye – Leader of the Genius Alliance. She first appears in chapter 408, where she observes the battle between Yu Heng and “Xiao Mo Ge

Mu Wu Shang – Member of the Genius Alliance. First appears in chapter 358, he joins the group sent by the Genius Alliance to break Zuo Mo’s Wasteland Beast Chessboard.

Qinghua Zang Shui – See Blue Flower Family.

Sang Nan – High ranked member of the Genius Alliance, and Golden Battle General. First appears in chapter 408, he acts as the expert that interprets the actions during the War Chess match.

Yu Zi Zhou – See Jade Family.


Grey Family: A once powerful family, after losing their high yao art technique, their family has declined.

Chief Elder – Elder of the Grey Clan, and member of Council of Elders of the Peace River Yao Art House. First appearing in chapter 356, he convinces the Grey Family to ally with Xiao Mo Ge.

Cang Ze – Member of the Grey Clan, sworn follower of Xiao Mo Ge, and member of the Peace River Yao Art House. First appearing in chapter 355, he approaches Nan Yue in an attempt to recruit Zuo Mo. He fails in recruiting Zuo Mo and is instead recruited by Zuo Mo. He practices the Grey Scar Art, and illusory killing art.

Cang Lin – Member of the Grey Clan, sworn follower of Xiao Mo Ge, and member of the Peace River Yao Art House. First appearing in chapter 386. He is considered the successor to the Grey Clan. Cang Lin is heavily injured and is healed by Xiao Mo Ge, and in a moment of overwhelming emotion he swears loyalty to Xiao Mo Ge. Because of his status within his clan his oath has bound the Grey Clan to Xiao Mo Ge.


Hu Shan – Member of Cloud Divine Sect in Sky Water Jie, battalion leader of Flying Cloud Sect’s troops. First appears in chapter 320, dies in chapter 322 in an ambush by Guard Camp at Hundred Flower Valley.

Jade Family:

Yu Heng Daren – Corps Commander of the Heavy Earth Corps, and uncle of Yu Zi Zhou. First mentioned in chapter 404 and appears in chapter 405. He is a Golden Battle General, and is known to have a fiery temper. Roped into a severely disadvantageous ploy by his nephew he engages in a War Chess Match with “Xiao Mo Ge”, but actually battles Gongsun Cha. Due to his defeat, he resigns as Corps Commander and fades into obscurity.

Yu Zi Zhou – Member of the Genius Alliance, member of the Jade Clan, and Nephew of Heavy Earth Corps Commander Yu Heng. First mentioned in chapter 379, he first appears in chapter 382. He is the second to challenge Xiao Mo Ge in the challenge stage. Later Yu Zi Zhou uses his uncle’s influence to draft Xiao Mo Ge into the Heavy Earth Corps.


Ji Family:

Powerful Yao family, with several powerful High Yao Arts: [Sky Clothing], [Emperor Clothing], [Charm Clothing], and [Domination Clothing].

Ji Cheng – member of the Genius Alliance, and member of the Ji family. First appearing in chapter 368, he is the younger brother to Ji Li Yu and whipped by his sister.

Ji Li Yu – AKA “One Mole”, an elder of the Genius Alliance, Member of the Ji family, and eldest granddaughter of the Ji Family Leader. First appears in chapter 367, where she immediately attacks Zuo Mo, Cang Ze, and Nan Yue. She practices the Charm Clothing art, and is specializes in illusion arts.


Kun Lun Sword Sect:

Ming Lei – Inner court Disciple of Kun Lun, Golden Battle General, Commander of Kun Lun’s Ming Lei Battalion. Is first mentioned in 427, and first appears in chapter 428. Cultivates a scripture based of the seven star system of the Northern Dipper. Uses the Twinkling Brilliance Formation, and Twinkling Brilliance Revolution tactics in battle. Dies in chapter 437.

He Jian Jindan of Kun Lun forces, disciple of one of Kun Lun Sword Sect’s subsidiary sects. First appears in 436, presumed dead in chapter 437.

Song Yuan Jindan and Inner court Disciple of Kun Lun, Bodyguard to Ming Lei. First appears in chapter 428, and uses the Pine Script Sword talisman. Engages in battle with Zuo Mo and dies in chapter 437.


Liao Qi Chang – Young Master of the Cloud Pavilion, manages the store in Xu Ling city. First appearing in chapter 448, he visits Turtle Island to make amends over the incident with the Ren Family. Realizing the power Turtle Island has he befriends Zuo Mo.

Ming (?) Family: Details are unclear, but presumably their situation seems comparable to the Grey Clan, but they have not declined to the extent of the Wisteria Clan. The extent of their decline and troubles is unclear.

Ming Jue Zi – Unclear affiliation, member of the Ming (?) Family, and sworn follower of Xiao Mo Ge. First appears in 375, he watches Xiao Mo Ge’s battle against the bounty hunters. Later he obtains information on the Battle of Sealed Extinction, trading it for the [Water Wood Light Art] and joining Zuo Mo’s little yao group (chapter 402).


Mo:

Xi Ye – Commander of a Mo Battalion, serves under Shen Yue Mo General. First appears in chapter 426, he is stationed as the commander of the Black Leech defence line, presumed dead in chapter 430.

Lan Qing – Childhood friend of Xi Ye, serves under Xi Ye as an advisor. First appears in chapter 426, presumed dead in chapter 430.

Shen Yue – Black Horn Rhinoceros Mo, and Mo Battle General. First mentioned in 426, and appears in chapter 430, leading 2000 troops against Zuo Mo’s forces. Presumed dead in chapter 430.


Ren Family:

Eldest Ren – Jindan and Eldest Patriarch of the Ren Family, cultivates a Wood Element scripture. First appearing in chapter 442, Engages in a battle against Wei Sheng, and dies in chapter 445.

Second Ren – Jindan and Second Patriarch of the Ren Family, cultivates a Water Element scripture. First appears in chapter 442, subsequently he battles Zong Ru, dying in chapter 445.

Third Ren – Jindan and Third Patriarch of the Ren Family, cultivates a Fire Element scripture. First appears in chapter 442, and subsequently battles Xie Shan, dying in chapter 444.

Ren Qing – Granddaughter of Eldest Ren. She is the only grandchild of the Ren family, appearing in chapter 441. She holds a grudge against Shang Wei Ming and attempts to humiliate him; she attempts to use threats to coerce Zuo Mo into aiding her in the humiliation. Her death occurs in 442.

Shang Wei Ming – Is hired as Zuo Mo’s guide, in chapter 439, when the group arrives in Dong Sheng Cloud Sea. Shang Wei Ming has fallen on hard times. He was once part of a powerful family in Xu Ling City, but due to circumstances, which are only hinted at, has lost all of his family and wealth. He has since joined Zuo Mo’s gang and acts as their local intermediary in Xu Ling City.


Strange Corpse – AKA “Shi”, no known affiliations. First appears in chapter 415. Little is known about the Strange Corpse, as he is older than the Battle of Sealed Extinction.  He later identifies himself as “Shi” in chapter 426. He has no known affiliations as he has been trapped in Scarlet Sky Jie for thousands of years, and everyone he knew is dead.

Tian Family:

Tian Yong Qing – The current head of the Tian family. First appears in 446, dies off screen in chapter 474.

Tian Heng Bo – Jindan of the Tian Family, younger brother of Tian Yong Qing. First appears in 446, dies off screen, in chapter 472, during the battle at Turtle Island.

Tian Ye – Jindan and Battalion Commander of Tian Family elite forces. First mentioned in 446, appears in chapter 465, dying in chapter 473. In chapter 473 used the Sky Ray Treasure Lens, which now belongs to Gongsun Cha.

Old Tian – 3rd Striatum Jindan of the Tian family, is in closed door cultivation. He never appears, but is mentioned several times. Dies off screen in chapter 474.


Unknown affiliation:

Gu Xiang Tian – Seal xiu of Xu Ling City, no known affiliations. First appears in chapter 449 and ambushes Zuo Mo using the black gold seal soldier, dying in chapter 452. Fights alongside Qing Xu.

Qing Xu – Seal xiu of Xu Ling City, no known affiliations. First appears in chapter 449 and ambushes Zuo Mo, Lei Peng, Ma Fan, and Nian Lu using the Thousand Gem Illusory Disk. Later escapes Xu Ling City with the help of the Tian Family.


Wisteria Clan: A once powerful family, after losing their high yao art technique, their family has declined, forced into desolate straits and a land unable to support their needs.

Nan Yue – Student of Purple Lotus yao Art House, Chief Student Elder of Purple Lotus yao Art House, member of Wisteria Clan of the South Sky, Clan Leader of Wisteria Clan of the South Sky, sworn follower of Xiao Mo Ge. First appearing in chapter 339, she is the first yao to encounter Zuo Mo. The Wisteria Clan has fallen on hard times, originally from Purple Arrow Jie the clan has been forced to move to Core Wind Jie, a desolate and harsh land. Practices the South Sky Arrow Art.


Wood Sword Sect:

Gao Xiu – Disciple of Wood Sword Sect in Sky Water Jie, Wood Sword Sects battalion leader, and favored disciple of Yan Yang. Appears in chapter 320, he leads a joint army against the forces of Little Mountain Jie. Dies in chapter a sneak attack by Vermillion Bird Camp in chapter 321 outside Sky Water City.

Yan Yang – Jindan and current leader of Wood Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 317, where he rallies the forces of Bright Water City to attack Golden Crow City`s forces. He sends his disciple Gao Xiu to lead Wood Sword Camp and engage with Golden Crow City forces. In chapter 325, requests the aid of his Shishu, to exact revenge on Golden Crow City’s forces.


Yao:

Bai Rou Lian – Member of the White Family. First appearing in chapter 355, he approaches Nan Yue in an attempt to recruit Zuo Mo.

Bing Lan Daren – Unknown affiliation. First appears in chapter 422 as the Mu Xi’s commander.

Brother Wang – Random yao. First appearing in chapter 371, he instigates fans of Ji Li Yu to gather funds for a bounty on Zuo Mo.

Chang Zheng – Random yao in Vast Water Clear Skies. First appearing in chapter 347.  Serve as the observers of Zuo Mo’s Prison Breaking Battle.

Chi – Creeping Sedge Corps member. First appears in chapter 341 as a nameless character, appearing again in 345 as a guest teacher from Purple Lotus yao Art House. Attempts to have Zuo Mo join the Purple Lotus yao Art House, by bribing Nan Yue.

Hong – Nan Yue’s best friend, student of Purple Lotus yao Art House. First appearing in chapter 341, she is a talented young yao and is accepted as a disciple of a Purple Lotus yao Art House elder. She later helps Nan Yue collect fees for the challenge stage.

Jin Zhen – Random yao, and bounty hunter. First appears in chapter 375, he attacks Xiao Mo Ge, and is trapped in a [Yao Art Cage]. He records this art and later sells it to Ming Jue Zi and many others.

Lan Daren – Corps Commander of the Ice Frost Crops. First appears in chapter 394, he later dies off screen in chapter 396.

Liang Wei – A junior commander of the Ice Frost Crops, and Silver Battle General. First appears in chapter 395, he volunteers for a suicide assignment as the rear guard during a tactical withdrawal. Ironically, his group of volunteers are the only survivors. Reappearing in chapter 428 in a four-way battle between Yao, Mo, Xiuzhe, and Zuo Mo. He ambushes the Ming Lei Battalion and quickly retreated.  He practices the [Ice Heart Tundra] art, secretly inherited from Lan Daren.

Leng Yue – Random yao in Vast Water Clear Skies, member of the Western Mountain Cold Clan. First appearing in chapter 347.  Serve as the observers of Zuo Mo’s Prison Breaking Battle. Approaches Nan Yue in an attempt to recruit Zuo Mo.

Little Girl yao reporter – Reporter for Tomorrow Yao Channel. First appears in chapter 368, she interviews Xiao Mo Ge.

Mang Zhan Daren – Intermediate level Battle General stationed in Bloody Sky Metropolis Jie. First appears in chapter 393, Mu Xi is assigned as a commander under Mang Zhan Daren.

Mo Ru Huo – AKA “Little Red”, Unknown affiliation. First mentioned in chapter 386, and appears in chapter 387. He is described as a devious and blood thirsty individual. He previously battled Cang Lin and left a parasitic soul imprint on Cang Lin, causing a serious and persistent wound to Cang Lin. He uses one of three known “living” Yao arts. He battles Xiao Mo Ge, and later escapes after Zuo Mo uses an unknown and newly developed yao art on him.

Nameless flower yao – Student of Purple Lotus yao Art House. Appears in chapter 345, is presented as an arrogant student.

Nameless tree yao – Student of Purple Lotus yao Art House. Appears in chapter 345, is presented as an airhead.

Su Wei – Unknown affiliation. First appears in 379, he is a friend to Ming Jui Zi. He observes the battles at the challenge stage.

Qian Liu – AKA “Clear Skies Qian Liu”. First mentioned in chapter 348, and appears in chapter 353. He is considered a legendary figure in Yao society, and was the previous individual to defeat the prison breaking battle of the First Finger of the Ten Finger Prison.

Shi Zheng – Student of Purple Lotus yao Art House. First appearing in chapter 341, he competes against Nan Yue in a skills test.

Unnamed fire-faced yao – Friend to Clear Skies Qian Liu. First appearing in 353, not much is known about this figure, but he is responsible for stirring up conflict between Xiao Mo Ge and the Genius Alliance.

Yan Shang DarenCorps Commander of the Fierce Fire Corps. First mentioned in chapter 383, and dies off screen two sentences later. =(

Xiao Mo Ge – Is in fact, Zuo Mo.


Xu Zheng Wei – Jindan of Xu Ling city’s Cloud Pavilion. Has a brother that runs a small business, and a nephew in a local Sword Sect. He was present during the battle between Zuo Mo’s group and the Ren Family. Often accompanies Liao Qi Chang on business trips to Turtle Island, presumably as protection. First mentioned in chapter 441 and appears in chapter 442.

Yao of Unknown affiliation:

Black Smoke yao – Unknown affiliation. First appears in chapter 373, he seems to babysit the Orange Haired yao. His personality is devious.

Orange Haired yao­ – AKA “Loyal Yao”, Unknown affiliation. First appears in chapter 373, he battles Zuo Mo for a brief period before attacking Qinghua Zang Shui of the Blue Flower Family. Seems to have the ability to absorb and assimilate attacks he receives with his undying body. His personality is straightforward, loyal, and a bit stupid.


Cast Volume 6, Chapters 456 – 560:  “All Hail the King”:

Ceng Yi’s Forces: Master of Shattered Stone Jie, Ceng Yi leads the most powerful faction within the jie. Their base is Stone City.

Ba La – Ceng Yi’s housekeeper. First appearing in chapter 548.

Ceng Yi – Master of Shattered Stone Jie, general ranked mo. First mentioned in chapter 539 and appearing in chapter 547, he is described as abnormally thin with snake like almond yellow eyes. He is a white fanged snake mo, and has attained the white fang mo physique.

Ceng Lian’er – Daughter of Ceng Yi. First appearing in chapter 548, she is unconscious and is said to have failed her rank up to general mo from brigadier mo. Her condition is a result of a failed maturation of her mo physique. She is identified as Lian’er in chapter 552, and it is revealed that she cultivates shen power with a strong leaning towards yin. It is stated that her shen power was taught to her by her late master in chapter 558.

Chao Yu – Colonel mo of Ceng Yi’s forces. First appearing in chapter 547, he approaches Zuo Mo and Ka Zhuo to forcefully recruit their services for Ceng Yi.

Door guard – First appearing in chapter 547 where he insults A Gui, and Zuo Mo makes a mental note to deal with him.

Shou Ping – Citizen of Shattered Stone Jie, leader of Celestial Planet Guard, silver battle general. First appears in chapter 560, where he leads a escort detail for Ceng Lian’er.

Yan’er – Maid to Cen Lian’er. She first appears in chapter 557.


Fire Crow Daoist – Jindan of Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in 485, he attacks Turtle Island. He uses the [Fire Chief Crow] to feed Lil’Fire. He dies in chapter 486.

He Wei – Citizen of of Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in 522, he tried to buy Lil’ Fire from a disguised Zuo Mo. He is one of three brothers.

Lu Wei – Citizen of Xu Ling City. First appears in 458, he is a student in a Turtle Island cultivation class. He learns a second-grade spell and gains third level spell proficiency. He is one of the first to discover the Tian Family’s counterattack to the Turtle Island cultivation classes.

Kun Lun:

Xue Dong  – Disciple of Kun Lun, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 519, he is referred to as the legendary Xue Dong from Kun Lun.


Ling Wei’s group:

Leng Sheng – Affiliation unknown. First appearing in chapter 480 as a male dressed in red robes, and later identified in chapter 487. He is described as rash and impulsive.

Ling Wei –  Affiliation unknown. First appearing in chapter 480, and later identified in chapter 481. He leads a group of xiuzhe that arrived in Xu Ling City after news of the Sun Tribe Shen Hall’s ruins spread.


Marshal Yu’s forces:

Dragon mo Subordinate of Marshall Yu. First appearing in chapter 552, he is in discussions with Ceng Yi.

Fat mo Subordinate of Marshall Yu. First appearing in chapter 552, he is in discussions with Ceng Yi. brown-red mo matrix

Marshal Yu – First mentioned in chapter 552.

Thin mo  – Subordinate of Marshall Yu. First appearing in chapter 552, he is in discussions with Ceng Yi. dark green mo matrix like countless branches of ivy


Mist Tribe:

Bing Yao – Clan Leader of the Mist People Tribe. First appearing in chapter 530, and is latered identified as Bing Yao in chapter 532. After initial contact, Zuo Mo begins referring to Bing Yao as Big Brother Bing.

Bing Yue – Member of the Mist Tribe, daughter of the Mist Tribe Chief. First appears in chapter 529, and is later identified as Bing Yue in chapter 532.

Lan – Totem of the Mist Tribe. First appearing in chapter 502, revealed as a living being and identified as Lan in chapter 531. Lan is first discovered in the Sun Shen Temple as a pile of incomplete inky jade bones, he is missing a skull, a rib, and a finger bone. Lan means “mist”.


Mo:

An Ya – Citizen of Shattered Stone Jie and Shattered Stone Town. First appearing in chapter 537, where he encounters Zuo Mo and A Gui. He is a lizard mo with flame lizard lineage and is the community leader of Shattered Stone Town.

Bie Han – Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple, golden battle general. First appearing in chapter 532, he is ordered by Xuan Kong Temple’s Sect Leader to support his Shishu, Ding Zhen. He is described as “not of tall height, his figure thin with hollow cheeks and an ordinary appearance”.

Dong Zi – Citizen of Shattered Stone Jie and Shattered Stone Town. First appearing in chapter 540, where he finds Zuo Mo in a compromising situation with A Gui.

Fei Lei – First appears in chapter 560, he leaves his home to respond to the Wei’s blood summons.

Fu Feng (傅峰) – (Translator Note: Mistranslated as Bo Feng in early chapters.) Unknown affiliation. First appears in chapter 140 as the “yellow-faced man”, he is identified as Bo Feng in chapter 184. He later appears in Desolate Wood Reef where he is chasing the Black Wind Bandits. His group of roaming xiu take over a secret realm and stay in Sky Moon Jie even after the yaomo invade. As of chapter 184 he leads a group of 34 xiuzhe. In chapter 537, it is revealed he is mo, and therefore the mo brigadier that Mu Xi was looking for in Sky Moon Jie. The fate of his 34 xuizhe group remains unclear. He serves Bie Han, who is a princeling separated from his family for unknown reasons.

Ka Zhuo – Citizen of Shattered Stone Jie. First appearing in chapter 540, he is later identified as Ka Zhuo in chapter 542. He is a Mo matrix awakening master. After some humorous events and to Zuo Mo’s chagrin, Ka Zhuo declares Zuo Mo is master.

One-eyed mo wolf  – Leader of Eminent Mountain Jie bandits. First appearing in chapter 551, he places a bounty on Shu Long and Ye Ling’s caravan.

Shi Dong – Commander of Mo Battalion invading Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 512, he is a Sky Mantis Mo. Cultivates the Cold Blade mo physique.

Shui YueMo from the Water Moon Family. First appearing in chapter 559, he receives a blood summons from Wei.

Xiao Wo – Member of Shi Dong’s Mo Battalion. First mentioned in chapter 514, he cultivates the Nighttide Snail mo physique and although it is considered a weak physique it has strong auxiliary abilities.

Ye Ling – Troop leader and quartermaster of one troop in Shi Dong’s Mo invasion forces. First mentioned in chapter 514 and appears in 515, he is responsible for supplies for the mo battalion. Described as having a head full of maroon hair, and grey-white eyes.


Ning Yi – AKA “Killing God Yi, ranked 32nd on Cloud Sea Jie rankings and uses the Blood Fiend Asura Umbrella, ranked 10th in Cloud Sea Jie treasures. First mentioned in chapter 460, and first appears in 463. Ning Yi was hired by the Tian Family Alliance to kill Zuo Mo and crew, and is paid with a sixth-grade Bagua Energy Mirror. Escaped after being defeated by Wei Sheng. His umbrella captures souls of his defeated enemies and was damaged in the fight with Wei Sheng.
Qing Xu – Seal xiu of Xu Ling City, no known affiliations. First appears in chapter 449 and ambushes Zuo Mo, Lei Peng, Ma Fan, and Nian Lu using the Thousand Gem Illusory Disk. Later escapes Xu Ling City with the help of the Tian Family.

Sun Tribe:

Qing Lin – Guardian of the Sun Shen Temple, defender of the Greenwood Secret Realm, sun of the Green Vine tribe,  Big Brother to Zuo Mo. First appearing in chapter 492, he has been in isolation for tens of thousands of years and had initially forgotten who he was. He later dies in chapter 494.

Tu – Guardian of the Sun Shen Temple, defender of the Bloody Water Secret Realm. First mentioned in chapter 497, she is the princess of the Benthic Water Tribe.

Zhu Gui – Guardian of the Sun Shen Temple, defender of the Overflowing Earth Secret Realm.


Tian Family:

Tian Zhong Zhou – Member of the Tian family. First appears in chapter 456, serves as a class instructor for the Tian Family’s public classes. He discovers the reason for Turtle Island’s class’s popularity, and reports it to Tian Yong Qing.

Tian Xiao Wei – Member of the Tian family. First appears in chapter 457, he is a low level member of the Tian family. In his brief appearance, he is drunk and is kidnapped by members of the Sky Peak Platoon and presumably interrogated regarding the Tian Family’s storehouses in Xu Ling City.

Tian Hao – Member of the Tian Family, soldier in the Tian Family battalions. First appears in 472, and dies off screen soon after.


Tian Huan/Xu Ling Sect:

Elder Shen Wu Hai – Elder of Tian Huan Sect. First appearing in 483, he battles Yun Hai Sheng causing half of Xu Ling City to sink into the cloud sea. He arrives in Cloud Sea Jie and Xu Ling City to protect the interests of his sect in exploiting the Shen Sun Temple ruins. He primarily uses the fire element.

Feng Bai Shixiong of Li Shu, Disciple of Tian Huan sect. First appearing in chapter 470, Feng Bai is a well-informed and well-travelled guest.

Gongye Xiao Rong – Disciple of Tian Huan, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 519, he is referred to as a prominent battle general from Tian Huan.

Huang Jie – A member of Xu Ling Sect, shidi to Lu Zhen. First appears in chapter 462.

Huang Long Zhenren – Affliated with Xu Ling Sect. First mentioned in chapter 462.

Li San – Member of Xu Ling Sect. First appearing in chapter 280, his role in the sect is unclear. He is reported as having been killed, and this incident may have been responsible for the information leak.

Li Shu – Citizen of Xu Ling City, Shixiong of Huang Jie and Lu Zhen, Inner Sect Disciple of Tian Huan sect. First appearing in chapter 463 he is only known as Brother Li. He convinces Ning Yi to attack Turtle Island. He is later identified as Li Shu in chapter 483.

Lu Zhen – The current Sect Leader of Xu Ling Sect, outer sect Disciple of Tian Huan sect. First appears in chapter 462, he is a lower ranked inner sect disciple of Tian Huan sect. He later dies in chapter 504.


Turtle Island:

A Zhe – Citizen of Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 513, he is a production xiu that has joined Turtle Island’s efforts to rebuild Xu Ling City. He is a childhood friend of Bu Si Dong, and is convinced by Little Bu to try out for Golden Crow Camp.

Gu Ming Gong – Jindan of Cloud Sea Jie AKA “Seal Immortal Gu”, ranked 56 on Cloud Sea Jie rankings. First mentioned in chapter 460, and first appears in 464. Uses a five element fog talisman and was captured by Zuo Mo in chapter 468. Gu Ming Gong shows up again in chapter 476, as a prisoner. Zuo Mo enslaves Gu Ming Gong using Soul Setting Divine Light, and lets him live in exchange for forging high grade talismans.

Kang De – Guide in the Cloud Sea. First appears in chapter 522, where he leads Zuo Mo’s little tourist group on a sightseeing tour.

Sunshine – Brother of Tenth Grade, ling beast to Zuo Mo. First appearing in chapter 483, he is named Sunshine due to his appearance and contrast to Tenth Grade.

Black Turtle Camp:

Bu Si Dong – Member of Black Turtle Camp, Member of Turtle Island. First appears in chapter 511, where he attempts to join Black Turtle Camp. He is the first named member of Black Turtle Camp. It is unclear what Bu Si Dong’s specialty is, except that he is not a sword xiu, as he laments being unable to learn swordsmanship from Wei Sheng.

Da Ban – Member of Black Turtle Camp, Member of Turtle Island. First appears in chapter 516, where he discusses the battle between Vermillion Bird Camp and Guard Camp against the Mo army. His distinctive feature are his big front teeth.

Luo Wei – Member of Black Turtle Camp, Member of Turtle Island. First appears in chapter 516, where he discusses the battle between Vermillion Bird Camp and Guard Camp against the Mo army. He is a sword xiu and is on the same team as Bu Si Dong.

Green Dragon Camp: No members at this time.

Grey Camp:

Shi Dong – Commander of Mo Battalion invading Cloud Sea Jie, citizen of Little Barbarian Jie. First appearing in chapter 512, he is a Sky Mantis Mo. Cultivates the Cold Blade mo physique.

Xiao Wo – Member of Shi Dong’s Mo Battalion, citizen of Little Barbarian Jie. First mentioned in chapter 514, he cultivates the Nighttide Snail mo physique and although it is considered a weak physique it has strong auxiliary abilities.

Ye Ling – Troop leader and quartermaster of one troop in Shi Dong’s Mo invasion forces, citizen of Little Barbarian Jie. First mentioned in chapter 514 and appears in 515, he is responsible for supplies for the mo battalion. Described as having a head full of maroon hair, and grey-white eyes.


Unaffiliated Sun Shen Temple explorers(looters):

Cao BeiJindan expert famed in Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 498, he temporarily joins an alliance of Cloud Sea Jie xiuzhe in Sun Shen Temple.

Ge Hai Yuanying of Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 502 and identified in chapter 503, it is unclear if he is the yuanying xiuzhe that fought with Elder Shen resulting in the destruction of half of Xu Ling City. Given Elder Shen’s familiarity with Ge Hai, it is likely that he fought with Elder Shen in Xu Ling City.

Masked Assassin – unknown affiliation. First appearing in chapter 489, he ambushes Zuo Mo during a battle at Turtle Island. He is a highly skilled assassin, having killed yuanying xiuzhe before he is ranked 7th among jindan assassins in the Four Realm Heaven.

Middle-aged male – first appearing in chapter 493, he is working with the Masked Assassin to obtain something from the Sun Shen Temple.

Old Bamboo Staff Man Yuanying of Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 502 and  identified only as the Elder Zhu in chapter 503. Despite this reference he is continuously referred to as Old Bamboo Staff Man.


Wei Li Tian’s group: A group of 49 jindan xiuzhe, they never increase their membership past this number as the weakest of the group, as those ranked 50th are killed. Five members of the group are ranked in the top 100 experts.

A Xin – Member of Wei Li Tian’s bandit troop. First appearing in chapter 485, he is a seal xiu skilled in formations. He is described as having grey-white eyes, that have a special ability to see through many things.

Qiu Ling – Diviner, member of Wei Li Tian’s bandit troop. First appearing in chapter 485, he is described as a small-framed xiuzhe with a pinched mouth and round cheeks. He is Wei Li Tian’s most trusted aid, and acts as a diviner and advisor to Wei Li Tian’s group.

Wei Li Tian – AKA the “Butcher”, Leader of a outlaw group in Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in chapter 485, he leads a group of 49 jindan xiuzhe. Ranked in the top 10 experts of Cloud Sea Jie, he is a cruel and cunning leader.


Xuan Kong Temple: Described as being the leader of all dhyana xiu, ranks within the sect are represented by their coloured robes. Purple indicating second generation, and blue for third.

Bie Han – Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple, golden battle general. First appearing in chapter 532, he is ordered by Xuan Kong Temple’s Sect Leader to support his Shishu, Ding Zhen. He is described as “not of tall height, his figure thin with hallow cheeks and an ordinary appearance”.

Ding Guang – Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple. His role is unclear, but he first appears in chapter 532, where he provides Bei Han with information on Cloud Sea Jie.

Ding Jing – Inner disciple of Xuan Kong temple, disciple of Ding Zhen. First appearing in chapter 523 and later identified as Ming Jing in 524. He dies in chapter 534.

Ding Zhen Yuanying dhyana xiu of Xuan Kong Temple, The Original Thieving Baldy. First appearing in chapter 523 and identified as Ding Zhen in chapter 254, he leads three disciples into the Cloud Sea. Fearing that Zuo Mo’s group has conflicting interests with his own group, he preemptively attacks Zuo Mo and co. He was sent by Xuan Kong Temple’s sect leader on a mission to Cloud Sea. Dies in chapter 536.

Feng Yue  – Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 544, she is described as a voluptuous beauty. She holds Ding Zhen in high esteem, having been mentored by him. She serves as one of Jiang Zhe’s protectors.

Jiang Zhe  – AKA, Little Zhe, Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 532 as one of two younger generation disciples able to reach golden battle general status. He first appears in chapter 544, where is leading an attack on Cold Mountain Jie.

Ming Jing – Inner disciple of Xuan Kong temple, disciple of Ding Zhen. First appearing in chapter 523 and later identified as Ming Jing in 524. He acts as the his group’s guide through the Cloud Sea. He dies in chapter 534.

Ming Zhu  – Inner disciple of Xuan Kong temple, disciple of Ding Zhen. First appearing in chapter 523 and later identified as Ming Jing in 525. He dies in chapter 534.

Nangong Qing Lian –  Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple. First mentioned in chapter 544, he is the most accomplished disciple of Xuan Kong’s younger generation. He excels in cultivation, and in his generation, is only matched by Jiang Zhe’s accomplishments as a general.


Yin Ling Zi – Sect Leader of Earth Sound Sect, the group responsible for sound tablet broadcasting in Xu Ling City. First appears in 459, he negotiates and makes a deal with Zuo Mo to broadcast Turtle Island Cultivation jade scroll advertisements.

Yuan Xin – AKA “Eastern Cloud Budha” Yuan Xin, ranked sixty on the expert ranking of Cloud Sea Jie. First mentioned in chapter 460, and first appears in 464. Dhyana cultivator hired to kill Zuo Mo and crew. Escaped after a battle with Zong Ru and Xie Shan, but was found dead off screen in chapter 474. Presumably his death is due to succumbing to the injuries sustained from Zong Ru’s Wish Power.

Yun Hai Sheng – Elder of a large sect in Cloud Sea Jie. First appearing in 483, he battles Elder Shen causing half of Xu Ling City to sink into the cloud sea.

Zhu Zheng – Citizen of Xu Ling City. First appears in chapter 459. He is a beast speaker, and was a student in Chun Yu Cheng’s class. Choosing to keep his job, he is forced to leave Turtle Island’s class. This results in him becoming restless and absent minded as he dreams of Chun Yu Cheng’s lectures during work.

Anwei Family:

The Anwei Family is one of the oldest families in Hundred Savage Realm, ruling over seventy four mo jie. They have produced sixteen marshal levels in their history.

Princess Xia – Title. Princess Xia is a title given to an accomplished lady of the Anwei Family, and is not a name. First mentioned in chapter 570, and explained in chapter 571, but appearing in chapter 593. She possesses the blood of the noble Moon Lake Swan Clan.

Princess Xin – Title. First mentioned in chapter 590 and first appearing in chapter 593. She is one of the three princesses heading to Great Peace City.

Princess Wan – Title. First mentioned in chapter 590 and first appearing in chapter 593. Youngest of the three princesses heading to Great Peace City.

Zhu Ke – Servant of Princess Wan, general mo. First appearing in chapter 599, he is a grandfather figure to Princess Wan and has watched her grow up.

Xia AKA “Heavily armored guard” – Servant of Princess Xin, general mo. First appearing in chapter 599, he is a non-speaking bodyguard to Princess Xin. Appears to be of at least general strength. In chapter 616 he is identified as Xia and wears a gravestone armor, an existence similar to Wei.

Middle-aged maid – Servant of Princess Xia, general mo. First appearing in chapter 599, she is a maid to Princess Xia it is later revealed her mother served Shi Zi Ming. She uses shen power.


Black Ghost Corps:

The battalion is ranked above 93rd in Hundred Savage Realm.

Ximen Ning – Leader of the Black Ghost Corps. First appearing in chapter 566, he is described as being heavily-built, with large eyes, and thick bows. He wears a bone necklace and is depicted with a chiselled figure.

A Qing – Right and Left hands of Ximen Ning, member of the Black Ghost Corps. First appearing in chapter 566, he convinces Ximen Ning to attack Tao Xing and Zuo Mo.


Endless City/Tao Xing’s forces:

Tang Fei – Citizen of Dark Abyss Jie, leader of Tao Xing’s battalion. First appearing in chapter 562, she leads a group of mo from Endless City. Described as being tall, with light green hair, she wears form fitting armor.

Tao Xing – AKA “Grandmaster/Old man”, City Master of Endless City, citizen of Dark Abyss Jie, mo embryo grandmaster. First appearing in chapter 561, he is under attack and requests aid from Zuo Mo’s group.

Cha Xiong – Citizen of Dark Abyss Jie, member of Tao Xing’s battalion. Appearing in chapter 561, he is described as a large mo with great skill he uses fire to burn his enemies. In chapter 562 he is identified as Cha Xiong.


Great Peace City:

An Qi Gong – Unknown affiliation. He appears in chapter 636 where he attempts to assassinate Zuo Mo.

Chang Yuan Hao – Famous warrior of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 584, he is ranked first in the Great Peace Mo Ranking. He first appears as the “shadowy figure” during Zuo Mo’s fight with Miao Jun, but is not identified as such until chapter 603.

Hua Ning – Affiliation unknown. First appearing in chapter 574, she is Pang Chen’s love interest. Described as a beauty she encourages Pang Chen during his bout with Zuo Mo.

Miao Jun – Famous warrior of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 584 and appearing in chapter 585, he is ranked twentieth in the Great Peace Mo Ranking. He is revealed to be a battle general mo, and is in need of Celestial Azure Essence. Described as having medium stature, having a square face with sharply defined features, crisp green eyes, but with presence.

Nanmeng Xue – Famous warrior of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 584, he is ranked third in the Great Peace Mo Ranking. He first appears in chapter 578, where he snorts and disrupts Qi Daio Yu’s mo sound technique, and is later identified as the one responsible for this in chapter 601. In chapter 608, it is revealed he once controlled twelve jie, called Little Water Sparrow’s Jie. Nanmen Xue is convinced to enter Great Peace Treasure Pavilion to obtain an item to exchange for Fire Heart Gall. It is alluded to in 608, that Nanmen Xue’s lover is trapped in Ten Thousand Year Mystical ice and requires Fire Heart Gall to rescue her.

Pang Chen – Famous warrior of Great Peace City, general mo. First appearing in chapter 573, he is hired by Bei Han to test Zuo Mo’s abilities. He dies in chapter 577.

Shi Yue Yi – City Master of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 601 and appearing in chapter 603, he is Shi Zi Ming’s student.

Shi Zi Ming – Sage of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 568, Shi Zi Ming is a sage from an ancient era that helped advance mo society. Great Peace City was built as tribute to him.

Yu Shuang – Famous warrior of Great Peace City. First mentioned in chapter 584, he is ranked second in the Great Peace Mo Ranking. He first appears as the “black robed figure” during Zuo Mo’s fight with Miao Jun, but is not identified as such until chapter 603.

Unknown male – convinces Nanmen Xue to enter Great Peace Treasure Pavilion in exchange for Fire Heart Gall


Genius Alliance:

Gathering of the greatest talents of the Yao, famed for their ability and subsequent high rate of advancement to Sky Yao.

Ming Yue Ye – Leader of the Genius Alliance. She first appears in chapter 408, where she observes the battle between Yu Heng and “Xiao Mo Ge

Ji Li Yu – AKA “One Mole”, an elder of the Genius Alliance, Member of the Ji family, and eldest granddaughter of the Ji Family Leader. First appears in chapter 367, where she immediately attacks Zuo Mo, Cang Ze, and Nan Yue. She practices the Charm Clothing art, and is specializes in illusion arts.


Green Yashka Clan:

Bu Heng – Gold battle general, leader of the Green Yashka Clan’s Heng Battalion. First appearing in chapter 566, he is ordered to lead a second attack on Tao Xing and Zuo Mo as a show of strength. The Heng Battalion is ranked 93rd in all of Hundred Savage Realm.

Gu Liang Dao’s Faction: After being forced to the brink, Gu Liang Dao his core group of followers betray Xi Xuan and form their own faction in the mo territories.

Gu Liang Dao – AKA “Xi Xuan’s Tiger General”. First mentioned in chapter 583, he conquered North Gauze Jie. Later after yao breached Bloody Sky Metropolis Jie and conquer numerous jie, he launches a full scale assault on the mo forces. His path of advance conflicts with Lil’ Miss’ plans for the region. Described as having a tall figure, his features rough, and his voice deep and booming like a drum.

white-robed youth – Disciple of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 662, where Gu Liang Dao sneaks back into Xi Xuan to recruit him.


Kun Lun Sword Sect:

Da Ling Feng – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 674, she appears to Wei Sheng and threatens him. She is defeated and sent back to Kun Lun to deliver a message to Lin Qian.

Fei Fei – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, yuanying of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 615, and dies in chapter 615. He is part of the xiuzhe group that sneaks into Great Peace City.

Eyes – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, yuanying of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First mentioned in chapter 619, Eyes is the codename for the Kun Lun spy in Great Peace City.

Han Shigu – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect, Shigu of Lin Qian’s generation. First mentioned in chapter 675, when Da Ling Feng is sent to her for medical attention.

Lin Qian – Eldest Shixiong of Kun Lun Sword Sect, owner of Hundred Treasures Flying Pavilion. First appearing in chapter 62, where he has Zuo Mo guide him through Dong Fu. Based on their time together Lin Qian and Zuo Mo build a very amicable relationship, and later they have many positive exchanges. Later appears during the sword competition, where he commands Su to search for something in the secret paradise of Dong Fu Sword Sect. In chapter 328, it is revealed that Lin Qian is manipulating many events in search of an escaped yaomo. Although strongly hinted throughout, it is not until chapter 432 that his identity is explicitly stated. Lin Qian later appears in Great Peace City in search of Shi Zi Ming’s Great Peace Treasure Pavilion and the skill stele inside. Unable to obtain the stele, he destroys it before retreating from Great Peace City leaving Xiao Mo Ge to his doom. In chapter 662, he finds a way to cultivate shen power.

Kun Lun Sect Leader – Sect leader of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 660, he is not named and is not described in any identifiable manner. However, his talent is demonstrated to be equal to if not higher than Lin Qian’s.

Unnamed Assassin – Disciple of Kun Lun, yuanying of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 682, where he attempts to kill Wei Sheng using a combination of martial might and psychological warfare. He is beheaded as Wei Sheng enters yuanying cultivation during battle.

Xue Dong – Disciple of Kun Lun, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 519, he is referred to as the legendary Xue Dong from Kun Lun and during the Sky-Splitting calamity he conquers Fortune Wood Jie. He appears in chapter 664, where he discusses Xiao Mo Ge’s situation with Lin Qian.

Zhong Bal – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, member of Listening Wind Hall. He first appears in chapter 672 where he informs Lin Qian about Wei Sheng’s journey through the mo territory. He is the head of Listening Wind Hall, Kun Lun Sword Sect’s intelligence branch.


Lan Family from Luo Jie:

Lan Tian Long – General level mo. First appearing in chapter 568. Described as a brute by the public, but acknowledged to be a shrewd commander by his compatriots and competitors. He is ranked 18th in the famous warrior rankings.

Lan Rong – General level mo. First mentioned in chapter 568 and appearing in chapter 588, he is described as looking almost identical to Lan Tian Long.


Marshal Di First mentioned in chapter 662, where it is revealed that Marshal Di is negotiating terms for working together with Tian Huan.

Di Xi – Son of Marshal Di. First appears in chapter 662, where he escorts Lian Xian Er to a meeting.


Marshal HaoFirst mentioned in chapter 662, where it is revealed that Marshal Hao is working together with Tian Huan and is facilitating introductions between Tian Huan and Marshal Di.


Marshal Yu’s Forces:

Marshal Yu – First mentioned in chapter 552 and appears in chapter 637. Described as having faint blue long hair swayed in the wind. His features seemed to be carved from stone. His eyes were a faint blue.

Yu Frontier Guard:

Marshal Yu’s personal guard and his most elite battalion

Ding Dong – Member of Marshal Yu’s forces, he is one of highest ranked commanders in the Yu Frontier Guard. He first appears in chapter 637 but is named in chapter 639. Described as a heavily armored mo with one horn. The armor grows from his body, he is a Green Turtle mo from Eastern Sea Jie. Ranked 5th in the Ten Yu Frontier Guards.

Mister Tong – Member of Marshal Yu’s forces, he is one of highest ranked commanders in the Yu Frontier Guard. He first appears in chapter 637 but is named in chapter 638, where he engages in battle with Ceng Lian’er. He is described as being of average looks. Ranked 6th in the Ten Yu Frontier Guards.

Qian Qing – Member of Marshal Yu’s forces, he is one of 4 highest ranked commanders in the Yu Frontier Guard. He first appears in chapter 637 but is named in chapter 639. Ranked 7th in the Ten Yu Frontier Guards. He is a Bright Void Cicada Mo and cultivates the physique.

Song Long Member of Marshal Yu’s forces, he is one of highest ranked commanders in the Yu Frontier Guard. He first appears in chapter 637 but is named posthumously in chapter 640. Ranked 10th in the Ten Yu Frontier Guards.

Wu Yu – Member of Marshal Yu’s forces, he is one of highest ranked commanders in the Yu Frontier Guard. He first appears in chapter 637 but is named in chapter 640. He is most powerful expert under Marshal Yu’s command.


Ming Bandits:

They are hailed as the strongest and most vicious bandits of the Hundred Savage Realm.

Bao Xiong – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 631, he leads the first charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

Da Hong – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 633, he leads the third charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

Da Hu – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 631, he leads the first charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

Gui San – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 633, he leads the reinforcements for the third charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

He Lang – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 633, he leads the reinforcements for the third charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

Ming Hui – Leader of the Ming Bandits. First appears in chapter 623, where he prepares to attack Great Peace City with Bu Heng to steal the Anti Dragon Claw.

Ming Yu Wei – Member of the Ming Bandits, sister of Ming Hui. First appears in chapter 623, where she prepares to attack Great Peace City with Bu Heng to steal the Anti Dragon Claw.

Old Tu – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 633, he leads the third charge against Great Peace City’s forces.

Tie Lang – Member of the Ming Bandits, unit commander of Ming Bandits. First appearing in chapter 631, he leads the first charge against Great Peace City’s forces.


Qi Diao Yu – Famous warrior or Great Peace City, he is unaffiliated with any factions. First mentioned in chapter 573 and first appears in chapter 578, he is said to be one of the stronger mo in Great Peace City. He holds a record of gaining enlightenment from 30 Mo Skill Steles.

Shadow Pavilion:

Intelligence division of the Yao Council of Elders.

Shen Clan:

Shen Yu – First appearing in chapter 593, he is the most outstanding expert of the youngest generation of the Shen Family. He accompanies the princesses on their journey to Great Peace City. In chapter 603, he is identified as having the Peacock King mo bloodline.


Stellar Rahula Clan: A clan based in Orchid Home Jie, Black Rock Jie, White Stone Jie

A Zha Ge – Gold battle general, member of the Stellar Rahula Clan, leader of the one of Rahula Clan’s top three battalions. First appearing in chapter 566, as he battled Lil’Miss in Middle Granary Jie to a stalemate.

Bi Shan – Gold battle general, member of the Stellar Rahula Clan, leader of the one of Rahula Clan’s top battalions. First mentioned in chapter 576, he is said to be the leader of the Rahula Clan’s generals, and is fighting Tian Huan’s Gongye Xiao Rong.


Tian Huan:

Gongye Xiao Rong – Disciple of Tian Huan, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 519, he is referred to as a prominent battle general from Tian Huan. Mentioned to be fighting against the mo in chapter 573, defeating Bi Shan of the Stellar Rahula Clan in several engagements. He first appears in chapter 585 as he invades Orchid Home Jie of the Stellar Rahula Clan.

Li Xian Er – Disciple of Tian Huan, Granddaughter of Tian Huan’s sect leader. First appears in chapter 7, where she sends a pink paper crane to Zuo Mo. Thinking that the crane is a normal Thousand Paper Crane, Zuo Mo responds antagonistically, and starts a strange long distance abusive relationship with the Mystery Crane Girl. On several occasions Zuo Mo nearly dies due to her antics. She later appears in chapter 659, where she is sent to negotiate with Marshal De, but is later sent to deal with Xiao Mo Ge.

Tian Man – Disciple of Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 659, he is assigned to reclaim Bright Jing Jie from the mo. He is a gold battle general and is considered Gongye Xiao Rong’s equal.


Wei’s and Pu’s Seeds:

Fei Lei – First appears in chapter 560, he leaves his home to respond to the Wei’s blood summons. He is described as an older uncle-like figure, he is teaching children in a village when he receives the blood summons.

Shui YueMo from the Water Moon Family. First appearing in chapter 559, he receives a blood summons from Wei. He is an experienced hunter, but has lived an impoverished life.

Youqin Lie – The sole surviving member of the Youqin Family. First appearing in chapter 565, he responds to Pu Yao’s summons. He is described as having an irregular blue crystal on his forehead, eyes long and narrow, and fiery red hair. He escapes a yao prison, A Bei Ge Jail, with Pu’s technique and decides to repay Pu.

King’s Horn: Battalion formed from ancient families with ties to Pu Yao and Wei. First mentioned in 677, they are gathered and lead by Fei Lei.


Wu Kong Sword Sect:

Li Ying Feng (李英) – Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 10, she is the eldest outer sect disciple and is the leader of the Eastern Peak disciples. She is an extremely kind and righteous person. She later enters zhuji off screen in chapter 21, making Zuo Mo the second eldest and second strongest of the outer sect disciples. She requests that Zuo Mo protect the female disciples of Eastern Peak as she would no longer be able to care for them. She is a disciple of Yan Le and manages many of Wu Kong Sword Sect’s businesses in Dong Fu. She eventually ends up as a slave to the Princess Xia, and is rescued by Zuo Mo in chapter 610.
Luo Li (罗离) – Inner sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 4, ranked fourth among the inner sect disciples of Wu Kong Sword Sect. He is naturally cold, infatuated with the sword, and extremely talented. He is the only person who managed to successfully practice [Empty Sword] in the second generation of disciples. He is recognized as the most talented person in Wu Kong Sword Sect and the one most like to achieve the sect’s ultimate scripture [Void Sword]. He used to be infatuated with inner sect disciple Hao Min. He combines [Empty Sword] and [Shapeless Sword] into the [Self-Separation] sword scripture (chapter 137). He stays with Wu Kong Sword Sect after their move to Bright Water Jie, and later rejoins Zuo Mo in chapter 569.

Wo Li – Luo Li’s sword spirit. First appears as Luo Li practices for the the Sword Test Conference under the moonlight, it is later revealed that Wo Li is created from a modified Void Sword scripture called Self Separation. Wei Sheng later teases Luo Li about the sword spirit in chapter 140, “Brothers in Difficulty”. The sword spirit is not named until chapter 640. Xiao Guo (小果) – AKA “Apple Face”, Outer sect disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. First appears in chapter 9, but is named in chapter 10. She is a ling beast keeper on the Eastern Peak of Wu Kong Mountain. She has an apple face, and a tendency to cry. With Zuo Mo’s help she enters zhuji in chapter 111. Becoming the third disciple under Shi Feng Rong. She later escapes with her master to Bright Moon Jie. She is gifted many things by Zuo Mo, including: Wei Sheng’s jade scroll, Zuo Mo’s elemental spell jade scroll, the Peach Wood hairpin, [Blue Flower] sword scripture. [Her name literally means little fruit]


Xi Xuan:

Elder Jin Wu Ming – Elder of Xi Xuan Sect. He first appears in chapter 656, where he brings a message from the sect for Gu Liang Dao.

Elder Gu – Elder of Xi Xuan Sect. Deceased. First mentioned in chapter 656, as Gu Liang Dao’s master.

Gu Liang Dao – AKA “Xi Xuang Tiger General”. First mentioned in chapter 583, he conquered North Gauze Jie. Later after yao breached Bloody Sky Metropolis Jie and conquer numerous jie, he launches a full scale assault on the mo forces. His path of advance conflicts with Lil’ Miss’ plans for the region. He first appears in chapter 654. Described as having a tall figure, his features rough, and his voice deep and booming like a drum.

White-robed youth – Disciple of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 662, where Gu Liang Dao sneaks back into Xi Xuan to recruit him.


Xiao Mo Ge’s forces:

Grey Camp:

E De – Member of Grey Camp, citizen of Little Savage Jie. First appearing in chapter 565, he has joined Grey Camp and is sent off to Turtle Island for special training. He has the bloodline of Shell Crocodile mo, and is one of the first that Golden Crow Camp engraves a mo matrix into.

Tang Battalion:

Miao Jun – Famous warrior of Great Peace City, second in command of Tang Battalion. First mentioned in chapter 584 and appearing in chapter 585, he is ranked twentieth in the Great Peace Mo Ranking. He is revealed to be a gold battle general mo, and is in need of Celestial Azure Essence. Described as having medium stature, having a square face with sharply defined features, crisp green eyes, but with presence. He later joins Zuo Mo and forms a temporary troop to fight the Ming Bandit’s and the Yu Frontier Guard. He later serves as second in command in the Tang Battalion.

Tang Fei – Citizen of Dark Abyss Jie, leader of Tao Xing’s battalion, leader of Tang Battalion, silver battle general. First appearing in chapter 562, she leads a group of mo from Endless City. Described as being tall, with light green hair, she wears form fitting armor. She later joins Zuo Mo at Tao Xing’s suggestion and is selected to form a new battalion on the journey to Nether Realm.


Xuan Kong Temple:

Dai Tao Fanxu of Tian Huan Temple. First mentioned in chapter 664, and appearing in chapter 665 where he is on a mission to assassinate Xiao Mo Ge with Ji Zheng. He is a former roaming xiu who joined Xuan Kong Temple to gain access to higher level techniques and step into fanxu.

Gao Xuan – Disciple of Tian Huan Temple, Subordinate of Jiang Zhe. First appearing in chapter 572, he is ordered by Jiang Zhe to take five hundred elite troops to support Feng Yu.

Hui Bao – Disciple of Tian Huan Temple. First appearing in chapter 666, he is sent by the temple to aid Ji Zheng and Dai Tao in tracking Zuo Mo.

Jiang Zhe – AKA, Little Zhe, Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 532 as one of two younger generation disciples able to reach golden battle general status. He first appears in chapter 544, where is leading an attack on Cold Mountain Jie. He is ordered to confront and eliminate Bei Han and the Sin Battalion as he controls Cold Mountain Jie, which is directly on Zuo Mo’s the path to the Nether Realm.

Ji Zheng Fanxu of Tian Huan Temple. First mentioned in chapter 664, and appearing in chapter 665 where he is on a mission to assassinate Xiao Mo Ge with Dai Tao. Described as a stereotypical dhynana xiu, with a shaved head, prayer beads, and monk robes.

Ji Zhen Shishuzu – Elder of Tian Huan Temple. He is first mentioned in chapter 671, where he is leading a group of experts to aid Ji Zheng and Dai Tao in killing Xiao Mo Ge.

Luo Da – Disciple of Xuan Kong Temple, battle general. First appears in chapter 678, he is serving under Jiang Zhe and is responsible for the region in which Xiao Mo Ge’s troops had disappeared.


Young Master Flower Protecting Alliance:

Wang Kun – Member of the Wang family. He first appears in chapter 609 where he rouses the followers of the princesses to fight Xiao Mo Ge and create the Young Master Flower Protecting Alliance. He is in love with Princess Xin.

An Shi Corps:

Corps Commander An Shi – Commander of the An Shi Battalion. First mentioned in chapter 744, he is a commander on the front line and is engaged against Kun Lun. Differences in leadership style lead to conflict with Liang Wei. Liang Wei’s insubordination leads to a military a reprimand and stripping of command.


Black Fire: Underworld organization commanded by Youqin Lie as an arm of Pu Yao.

Chai Shan Qing – Member of Black Fire, third in command of Black Fire. First appears in chapter 750, he is described as a scholarly individual. It is mentioned his day job is as a music teacher in an yao art house.

Tao Wei – Member of Black Fire, second in command of Black Fire. First appears in chapter 750, she is described a seductive woman with blond hair. It is suggested she powerful than Wu Ying and Chai Shang.

Wu Ying – Member of Black Fire, fourth in command of Black Fire. First appears in chapter 750, he is described as a shadowy figure with green eyes. He specializes in stealth and assassination missions, it is suggested he may lead that division.

Youqin Lie – The sole surviving member of the Youqin Family. First appearing in chapter 565, he responds to Pu Yao’s summons. He is described as having an irregular blue crystal on his forehead, eyes long and narrow, and fiery red hair. He escapes a yao prison, A Bei Ge Jail, with Pu’s technique and decides to repay Pu. He later reappears in chapter 750 as the leader of  Black Fire and is working to carry out Pu and Wei’s revenge plan.


Grey Family of Nu Flat Jie:

Cang Ling Xue – Leader of the Grey Family of Nu Flat Jie. First mentioned in chapter 766, she became the family head, the youngest family head in the history of the Grey Family. At age 15 she formed the Nu Flat Merchant Association. First appears in chapter 779 where she is at the end of her rope and has been forced into desperate straits.

Uncle Yan – Member of the Grey Family of Nu Flat Jie. First mentioned in chapter 779. He is Cang Ling Xue’s right hand man and her late father’s confidante, caring for Cang Ling Xue after his death.


Genius Alliance:

Feng Xin Zi – Member of the Genius Alliance. High level supervisor of the Genius Alliance. First appearing in chapter 378, he defeats the Prison Breaking Battle of the third Prison. First appears in chapter 687 where he leads a group of 30 females to meet Xiao Mo Ge. First appears in chapter 692, on his way to meet Xiao Mo Ge.

Qinghua Xue – Member of Blue Flower Family from Cloud Ridge Jie, younger sister of Qinghua Zang Shui. She first appears in 337, and is considered far more talented than her brother. She battles Xiao Mo Ge at Wasteland Beast Chessboard Prison as revenge for her older brother. Later she travels with Feng Xin Zi to meet Xiao Mo Ge in chapter 687. She becomes Xiao Yun Hai’s assistant in chapter 703.


Gu Liang Dao’s Faction: After being forced to the brink, Gu Liang Dao his core group of followers betray Xi Xuan and form their own faction in the mo territories.

Xiao AKA “white-robed youth” – Disciple of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 662, where Gu Liang Dao sneaks back into Xi Xuan to recruit him. He is identified as Xiao in chapter 745.


Horizontal Jie’s Ji Family:

A Heng – Servant of Horizaton Jie’s Ji Family. First mentioned in chapter 690, he is sent to pick up the Young Master and deal with Zuo Mo. First appears in chapter 691, is described as not tall, his body thin, his skin dark, and his hair short and bristly.

Ji Heng – Patriarch of Horizaton Jie’s Ji Family, marshal mo. First appears in chapter 690, where he finds out about his son’s loss to Zuo Mo, he punishes his son and sends an assassin after Zuo Mo. It is also revealed that he has a shen temple and practices shen power.

Ji Xi – member of a branch family of Horizaton Jie’s Ji Family, chief steward of to Ji Heng. First appears in chapter 690, he is described as a middle-aged man with a goatee.

Young Master Ji – Young master of Horizaton Jie’s Ji Family, son to Marshal Ji. First appears in chapter 688. He is a basic young master.


Kun Lun Sword Sect:

An Hai – Disciple of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 773, his master left him a powerful life protecting treasure.

An Wei – Disciple of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 773, he is the only one to openly protest against Xiao Ru Jian’s plan to entrap and exploit the merchant fleet.

Bei Xiang – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect fanxu of Kun Lun. First appearing in chapter 725, she is the second in command of the third Kun Lun team sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment.

Chao Xin – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, third ranking member of Lin Qian’s Sword Pavilion. First appearing in chapter 756, described as an elegant youth with red lips, white teeth, and ethereal long robes. He is the second member to be chosen for the Sword Pavilion, given his actions, he was selected for his strategic abilities.

He Zi – Disciple of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 773, she is specialized in formations.

He Shishu – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect yuanying of Kun Lun. First mentioned in chapter 773, is the master of He Zi.

Hou Feng – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect fanxu of Kun Lun. First appearing in chapter 725, he is the leader of the third Kun Lun team sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment.

Hua Shan – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, yuanying of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 720, she is accompanying a contingent sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment.

Jin Ran – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, yuanying of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 720, he is accompanying a contingent sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment. He has unrequited feelings for Hua Shan.

Lei Yi – Disciple of Kun Lun Sword Sect, yuanying of Kun Lun Sword Sect. First appearing in chapter 720, he is accompanying a contingent sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment. He is a half-step into the fanxu stage.

Lin Qian – Eldest Shixiong of Kun Lun Sword Sect, owner of Hundred Treasures Flying Pavilion. First appearing in chapter 62, where he has Zuo Mo guide him through Dong Fu. Based on their time together Lin Qian and Zuo Mo build a very amicable relationship, and later they have many positive exchanges. Later appears during the sword competition, where he commands Su to search for something in the secret paradise of Dong Fu Sword Sect. In chapter 328, it is revealed that Lin Qian is manipulating many events in search of an escaped yaomo. Although strongly hinted throughout, it is not until chapter 432 that his identity is explicitly stated. Lin Qian later appears in Great Peace City in search of Shi Zi Ming’s Great Peace Treasure Pavilion and the skill stele inside. Unable to obtain the stele, he destroys it before retreating from Great Peace City leaving Xiao Mo Ge to his doom. In chapter 662, he finds a way to cultivate shen power. In chapter 735 he completes his transformation and learns to use shen power. In the same chapter he also becomes Pavilion Master of Kun Lun’s Sword Pavilion, a group of 9 individuals, including himself, that will be groomed to become the next group to lead Kun Lun.

Lu Han – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect yuanying of Kun Lun. First appearing in chapter 723, he is one of three people that manage to catch up to Xiao Yun Hai’s group. He is a user of  Kun Lun’s famous [Glacier Sword]. He is a half-step into the fanxu stage.

Mu Xuan– Disciple of Kun Lun, Gold Battle General. First appears in chapter 788, she is ranked 8th amongst the top battle generals.

Nie Chen – Disciple of Kun Lun, Child of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 781, described as handsome, yet he had a lively presence. Practices the [Finger Sword Wave] art.

Tan Xu – Disciple of Kun Lun, Child of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 781, described as reclusive and strange, not welcomed among the disciples.

Wei Shishu – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect yuanying of Kun Lun. First mentioned in chapter 684, Lin Qian is sent to train under Wei Shishu until he obtains earth level shen power.

Xia Li – Elder of Kun Lun Sword Sect fanxu of Kun Lun. First appearing in chapter 725, he is a member of the third Kun Lun team sent to obtain the Angel Device Raiment.

Xiao Ru Jian – Disciple of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 773.

Xue Dong – Disciple of Kun Lun, golden battle general. First mentioned in chapter 519, he is referred to as the legendary Xue Dong from Kun Lun and during the Sky-Splitting calamity he conquers Fortune Wood Jie. He appears in chapter 664, where he discusses Xiao Mo Ge’s situation with Lin Qian. He is later selected as the second member of Lin Qian’s Sword Pavilion.

Yu Ming – Disciple of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 773.

Zhen Meng Ling – Disciple of Kun Lun, Child of Kun Lun. First appears in chapter 781, described as the famous ice queen of Kun Lun. She uses the Bagua Heart Protection Mirror and is the owner of the Rain Commander Banner.


Ma Family:

Mo family that was once in control of the Tang Family’s territory.

Ma Yuan Qi – Marshal level mo of the Ma Family. First mentioned in chapter 695, he was defeated by Tang Chen leading to the fall of the Ma Family and the rise of the Tang Family.


Marshal Di  – First mentioned in chapter 662, where it is revealed that Marshal Di is negotiating terms for working together with Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 724, as he watches Youxi Ya Ke and the yellow toothed old man fight.

Di Xi – Son of Marshal Di. First appears in chapter 662, where he escorts Lian Xian Er to a meeting. Later reappearing in chapter 698, he attends a banquet held by Marshal Tang.

Qing Min – Marshal Di’s friend and subordinate, marshal mo. First mentioned in chapter 700, they are called in as experts to help Di Xi and Marshal Tang capture Xiao Mo Ge.  First appears in chapter 710, in chapter 712 it is confirmed he is a marshal mo.

Zhong Wen Tian – Marshal Di’s friend and subordinate,  marshal mo. First mentioned in chapter 700, they are called in as experts to help Di Xi and Marshal Tang capture Xiao Mo Ge.  First appears in chapter 710.

Cui An – Wandering General mo. First appears in chapter 715 where he is travelling on a sky shark towards Bu Zhou City. He is attempting to trade Reverse Shadow Soul Silkgrass for a earth mo weapon, he ends up picking Dark Clear Li Chakrams.


Mo Cloud Sea:

Old Man – Exiled steward of the Zuo family, Grandfather of A Gui. First appearing in chapter 706, he warns Xiao Mo Ge about the many watching eyes. Described as an old man dressed in rags like a beggar with a yellow toothed smile but missing many teeth. Later in chapter 707 it is revealed he has a close relationship with the Mo Gods. It is later revealed he has an intimate history with Zuo Mo.


Golden Crow Cloud Island:

Ming Guan Shan AKA “Monkey Ming” – Member of Golden Crow Camp. First appears in chapter 719, where he names a large scaled jinzhi that incorporates both xiuzhe and mo methods.

He Ming AKA ‘A Ming’– Head steward of Mo Cloud Sea. First mentioned in chapter 747, he succeeds Bao Yi as he is better suited for the increased scale of operations. Zuo Mo still finds his abilities insufficient.

 

Qing Xiao – Last surviving member of the Greenvine Tribe. First appearing in Chapter 808, he encounters Zuo Mo in the Summer Palace.

 

Pets:

Ghost Mist Child – Member of the Ghost Mist Tribe, Zuo Mo’s oldest and newest pet. First appears in chapter 793, the Ghost Mist Child is the guardian of the Mist Hall where he sends Ghost Mist Heads to attack Zuo Mo and co. only to be defeated by Silly Bird and “voluntarily” offers his service.


Mo Weapon Master Association:

Grandmaster Yan Man – Grandmaster mo weapon master. First appearing in chapter 710, he publicly and harshly criticizes Xiao Yun Hai.

Grandmaster Bo Qing An – Grandmaster mo weapon master. First appearing in chapter 710, he publicly criticizes Xiao Yun Hai.


Mo Marshal Alliance: Lead by Marshal Di they are a gathering of Mo Marshals combining their strengths to resist the Mo God Temple.

Hai Jin Yun – Battle general of the Mo Marshal Alliance. First mentioned in chapter 759, is described as a young talent. First appears in chapter 763, where he is following behind — and orders — to regroup and plan their defence. Described as tall yet thin, his complexion faintly gold, his eyes narrow and long

Lao Jiu – Member of the Thunder Sound Temple. First mentioned in chapter 765, he is the individual that identified strange vibrations coming from Zuo Mo’s merchant group.

Yang Yuan Hao – Member of the Thunder Sound Temple. First mentioned in chapter 748, he is identified as the strongest battle general of the Nine Great Sects. First appearing in chapter 776, he .

 

Heart Leaf Temple: One of the lower ranked sects in the Nine Great Dhyana Sects. Lead by four reverends in Lotus Sutra Temple: Blue, Red, White, Black. Each serving directly under the Sect Leader.

Elder Xu – Elder of the Heart Leaf Temple. First appears in chapter 771, where he introduces three “friends” to the sect leader.

Fairy Lin Ying – Guest Elder of Heart Leaf Temple. First appears in chapter 771, where she is introduced the Heart Leaf Temple. Described as beautiful with bright eyes, white teeth, and fine pale skin.

Long Guang –  Guest Elder of Heart Leaf Temple.. First appears in chapter 771, where she is introduced the Heart Leaf Temple. Described as brawny, and had skin as black as coal with bright eyes.

Ruan You Xian –  Guest Elder of Heart Leaf Temple.. First appears in chapter 771, where she is introduced the Heart Leaf Temple. Dressed like a middle-aged scholar with a fan in his hand.

Sect Leader – Sect Leader of the Heart Leaf Temple.

 

Lotus Sutra Temple: One of the higher ranked sects in the Nine Great Dhyana Sects.

Sect Leader – Sect Leader of Lotus Sutra Temple. First appears in chapter 781.

White Lotus Reverend – White Lotus Reverend. First appears in chapter 781.

 

Surangama Heart Sect: One of the higher ranked sects in the Nine Great Dhyana Sects.

Yuan Tong – Sect Leader of Surangama Heart Sect. First mentioned in chapter 787, he is one of the first significant casualties in the fight over the shen nucleus. He is the Shishu to Lotus Sutra Temple’s Sect Leader.


Ning Family:

Ning Xin’er – Member of the Ning Family’s, branch family member. First appearing in chapter 699, she is a friend of Qinghua Xue.


North Bay’s Hua Family:

Hua Ru Hai – General level mo. First appearing in chapter 696, he attacks A Gui and Ceng Lian’er but is quickly defeated. Presumably he attempts to steal the newly forged earth mo weapon from Xiao Yun Hai.


Rare Articles Hall: Considered the most prestigious shop in all of Bu Zhou City.

Kuai An – Guard leader of Rare Articles Hall, marshal mo. First appearing in chapter 710-711, it is unclear when he first appears as he is one of many guard captains arriving in this chapter. In chapter 714 he is identified as the Guard leader of the security detail protecting the heaven tier mo weapon pool and the materials piled outside of it. He is later named in chapter 724, where he aids Xiao Yun Hai escape Bu Zhou City. It is later revealed he was entrusted with the Blue Horsefly.

Qian Duo AKA “Old shopkeep mo– shopkeep of Rare Articles Hall. First appearing in chapter 693, he guides Zuo Mo, A Gui, and Ceng Lian’er through the shop. He later introduces himself as Qian Duo in chapter 711.

Yi An AKA “middle-aged mo– Chief Steward of rare Articles Hall. First appearing in chapter 693, he negotiates the price of a complete set of White Ridge Snake Bones with Ceng Lian’er. He later is introduced as Yi An in chapter 716.


Tang Family:

Mo family in control of Bu Zhou City and its surrounding territories.

Head – Leader of the Tang Family guards. He first appears in chapter 702, where “happens” to be at the market when the Tang Guard leader is thrown into the streets. He then fights with Qinghua Zue but is interrupted by Feng Xin Zi.

Marshal Tang Chen – member of the Tang Family, marshal mo. First mentioned in chapter 692 and appearing in chapter 695, he is the most powerful expert of the Tang Family. He forcefully attempts to recruit Zuo Mo to train the mo weapon masters in Bu Zhou City.

Tang Guard A – member of the Tang Family guard. First appears in chapter 701, where he helps Xiao Yun Hai shop.

Tang Wen Battalion – Strongest battalion of the Tang Family. First appears in chapter 709, where they arrive in Bu Zhou City to maintain peace and order.


Tian Huan:

Crazed old man – Chief elder of Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 685, where he successfully replicates shen glyphs. He reappears in chapter 798, where he advises the Tian Huan sect leader to deal with Mo Cloud Sea.

Jin Xiao Yi – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of the Four Seats. First appears in chapter 820, where he accompanies Mi Wu on the mission to assassinate Zhong De.

Li Xian Er – Disciple of Tian Huan, granddaughter of Tian Huan’s sect leader, member of the Four Seats . First appears in chapter 7, where she sends a pink paper crane to Zuo Mo. Thinking that the crane is a normal Thousand Paper Crane, Zuo Mo responds antagonistically, and starts a strange long distance abusive relationship with the Mystery Crane Girl. On several occasions Zuo Mo nearly dies due to her antics. She later appears in chapter 659, where she is sent to negotiate with Marshal De, but is later sent to deal with Xiao Mo Ge. It is later revealed in chapter 700 the alliance between Marshal Di and Tian Huan will likely be cemented through marriage. These plans are thrown into disarray as a result of the dawn of the shen era. In the shen era, she becomes the most talented member of the younger generation, is appointed the leader of the four seats, and owner of the Weaving Girl’s Shuttle. She agrees to become a hostage in a risky mission for the sake of the sect, and is later appointed as the next sect leader of Tian Huan by her grandfather.

Long Yan – Disciple of Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 794, where he is battling three members of Mo Cloud Sea’s expeditionary force.

Mi Nan – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of the Mi Family, golden battle general. First appears in chapter 814, where he argues for sending Li Xian Er to Xi Xuan as a hostage. Member of the Mi Family, a wealthy family in the Tian Huan territories that controls most of the materials trade.

Mi Wu – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of Mi Family, member of the Four Seats. First appears in chapter 820, where he leads a group of elites from Tian Huan to assassinate Zhong De.

Mu Shuang – Disciple of Tian Huan, golden battle general. First appears in chapter 814, where he argues against sending Li Xian Er to Xi Xuan as a hostage.

Rong Zhi – Disciple of Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 830, he is a guard at the Yao Forging Tower.

Ruan You Xian – Disciple of Tian Huan. First appears in chapter 794, where he is watching Long Yan battle three members of Mo Cloud Sea’s expeditionary force.

Sang Dong – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of the Four Seats. First mentioned in in chapter 820. Later appears during the second Tian Huan attack on Zhong De.

Wu Zhen – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of the Twelve Rings. First appears in chapter 821, where he is caught in a trap and faces off against Silly Bird.

Wu Ru – Disciple of Tian Huan, member of the Twelve Rings. First appears in chapter 821, where he is caught in a trap by Lil’Pagoda and the Ghost Mist Child. He is a ringmaster under Jin Xiao Yu’s command.

Zou Fan – Disciple of Tian Huan, silver battle general. First appears in chapter 829, he is the commander of the battalion guarding Clear Sea Storehouse.


The Mo God Temple: Based in Black Cloud Jie, they were formed 200 years ago and have hidden as they cultivated their shen power. They are the first group to reveal their cultivation of shen power.

A tall, large mo Chief member of the Mo Gods, battle general. First appears in chapter 686, he is described as having two sickle shaped red marks on his thin face with faint blue eyes. He has Earth level shen power, and cultivates using belief and the ancient methods.

Mo God Youxi Ya Ke AKA “Mo youth” – Member of the Mo Gods, battle general. First appears in chapter 686, he is described as young, lazy and hedonistic. He has Earth level shen power, and cultivates using belief and the ancient methods. Reappears in chapter 707, where he negotiates with Old Man for the right to capture Xiao Mo Ge. In chapter 717 he is identified as Ya Ke in a request to view the Angel Device Raiment.

4th mo god – 4th Member of the Mo Gods, battle general.

Shadowy armored mo – Member of the Mo Gods. First appears in chapter 686 he is described as a rhinoceros mo, brawny and with a horn growing out of his forehead. He has Earth level shen power, and cultivates using belief and the ancient methods.

Wu Le – Member of the Mo Gods. First appears in chapter 795, he challenges Wei Sheng to a duel. In chapter 805, it is revealed he is the 5th Mo God.


Xuan Kong Temple:

Old Lin – Elder of Xuan Kong Temple, yuanying of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 683, he identifies a move Xiao Mo Ge uses to escape the group of elders.

Elder Hao – Elder of Xuan Kong Temple, yuanying of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 683 and is sent to chase Xiao Mo Ge’s group ahead of the others.

Elder Pang – Elder of Xuan Kong Temple, yuanying of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 683, during a discussion between the elders of Xuan Kong Temple Elder Pang comments and largely influences the decision of the group.

Elder Wu – Elder of Xuan Kong Temple, yuanying of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 683 and is sent to chase Xiao Mo Ge’s group ahead of the others.

Elder Xu – Elder of Xuan Kong Temple, yuanying of Xuan Kong Temple. First appearing in chapter 683 and is sent to chase Xiao Mo Ge’s group ahead of the others.

Ming Xin – Disciple of Xuan Kong temple. First appearing in chapter 730, he attempts to betray the sect in their last moments, presumably, only to run into and killed by Bie Han and the Sin Battalion.


Xi Xuan: The central region of Xi Xuan is called the Central Plains.

Ban Xia – Elder of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 814, where he advises the Sect leader to hatch a plot to assassinate Zhong De.

Jian Jun – Elder of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 753, where he meets with Zuo Mo to purchase custom made shen equipment. The favorable negotiations reveals to Zuo Mo Xi Xuan’s internal troubles.

Sect Leader  – Sect Leader of Xi Xuan, Fanxu of Xi Xuan. First appears in chapter 747, where he reprimands the sect elders as he descends into Fiend Abyss Jail. It is revealed by Xiao and Chao Xin that the sect leader is shrewd and may have allowed Gu Liang Dao, Xiao, and Shuang Yu to be forced out of the sect in a move to take back power from the elders.

Shi Pei – Member of Zhong De’s battalion. First appears in chapter 747, later identified as Shi Pei in chapter 817. He is Zhong De’s right hand and closest aid. Described as tall, cold features, and his face was covered in criss-crossing scars.

Yun Ji  – Daughter of Zhong De. First mentioned in chapter 747, she is the daughter of Uncle Zhong. It is suggested she made a huge sacrifice for the sect but due to scheming by her uncle was labelled a traitor. She was denied the honor of a proper burial.

Zhong De – Gold battle general. First appears in chapter 747, where he stands guard behind large copper doors. He is described as a large muscular man covered in scars. Agrees to aid Xi Xuan after the Sect leader promises to exonerate Yun Ji and erect a prestigious Tomb in her honour. After leaving seclusion he leads Abyss Jail Battalion to defend Xi Xuan.


Yao Council of Elders:

Elder Lin – Elder of the Yao Council of Elders. First appears in chapter 742, he is a jinzhi specialist that aids Ming Yue Ye and Elder Ye during the fight with Zuo Mo.

Elder Wang – Elder of the Yao Council of Elders. First appears in chapter 726, he is knocked away by Ceng Lian’Er. In chapter 728 he attempts to kill Kuai An in a sneak attack only to be countered by Ceng Lian’Er.

Elder Xu – Elder of the Yao Council of Elders. First appears in chapter 726 where he engages in battle against Kuai An.

Elder Ye – Tenth Elder of the Ten Yao, Elder of the Yao Council of Elders. First appears in chapter 741, he accompanies the group of elders that travels to Bu Zhou City. He is one of the strongest members of the Elder Council, ranked 10th overall.

Ming Yue Ye – Leader of the Genius Alliance. She first appears in chapter 408, where she observes the battle between Yu Heng and “Xiao Mo Ge”. She later appears in chapter 730 where she leads a group of shen wielding yao elders from the Council of Elders in an attempt to steal the Angel Device Raiment and capture Xiao Yun Hai/Xiao Mo Ge. In Chapter 745, Ming Yue Ye becomes the Thirteen Seat Inner Council.


Randoms:

Bean Sprout AKA “Sproutling” – Xiao Yun Hai’s assistant. First appears in chapter 701, while visiting a low level materials market Xiao Yun Hai is impressed with the craftsmanship of a dagger and recruits Sproutling as his assistant.

Bloody Hand Butcher – First appearing in chapter 719, he is a fearsome killer. Quoted as having claimed, “If I haven’t killed ten thousand, I’ve killed at least eight thousand…”

Great Shaman Sang Ming Yu – Diviner. First mentioned in chapter 700, Marshal Tang called in a significant favour to have Sang Ming Yu predict Zuo Mo’s actions.

Hong Xiao – Competitor to Cang Ling Xue. First appears in chapter 789. She is described as a plain girl, but she came out on top during the examination.

Lao De Guang AKA Shadowless Ghost Hand – Infamous thief in the territories of the Nine Great Dhyana Sects. First appearing in chapter 767, he is on the run from the Thunder Sound temple. “A sneaky snake sneakily snaked onto sneaky snakes sneaky ship”

Xiao Yun Hai – Grandmaster mo weapon master. First appearing in chapter 698. You should know this one. Pseudonym meaning Little Cloud Sea.


Wolf-head Thousand Monster Camp: Battalion made of up powerful but troublesome youths.

A Xiao – Member of of Wolf-head Thousand Monster Camp, Classmate of Liang Wei. First appears in 744, where he talks to Liang Wei about Pu’s strategy classes.

Guang Long – Member of of Wolf-head Thousand Monster Camp. First appears in chapter 759, where he is undergoing military training. His bloodline activation has resulted an odd personality disorder. He has the rare dragon bloodline which causes him to enter a berserker state.

Liang Wei – A junior commander of the Ice Frost Crops, Silver Battle General, and Commander of Wolf-head Thousand Monster Camp. First appears in chapter 395, he volunteers for a suicide assignment as the rear guard during a tactical withdrawal. Ironically, his group of volunteers are the only survivors. Reappearing in chapter 428 in a four-way battle between Yao, Mo, Xuizhe, and Zuo Mo. He ambushes the Ming Lei Battalion and quickly retreated.  He practices the [Ice Heart Tundra] art, secretly inherited from Lan Daren. He reappears a few times throughout the story, first during the Sky-Splitting Calamity where he leads his troop to conquer a dozen jie from Xi Xuan leading to a full force retaliation by Gu Liang Dao in the mo territories. His aggressive military practices leads him into trouble with his superior officer in chapter 744. He is stripped of his military command and wanders aimlessly until running into A Xiao, who introduces him to Pu Pu’s Home for Battle Generals. He is given a command of a new battalion by Pu in chapter 749.

Ying Rong – Member of of Wolf-head Thousand Monster Camp. First appears in chapter 759, where he is undergoing military training. His bloodline activation has resulted an odd personality disorder. He will meditate for fourteen hours a day, and anyone that interrupts him will become significantly injured.
