Lin Yu Tong heard the tone and knew that Fourteen had angered his brother again. She changed the topic, “Today, Hong Hui and Hong Yun’s prayer mats were warm. Ye‘s must have been also.”

“Have the servants do this, you worked the entire night.” Si Ye took the thing from Lin Yu Tong’s hand to look at it.

Hong Yun had been playing with Third Prince’s Hong Qing and Fifth Prince’s Hong Sheng and some of the other children of the imperial house. For some reason, they had started fighting. The one crying the loudest was Hong Yun.
Lin Yu Tong frowned. When children were fighting, if adults interfered, the matter would increase in severity.
Hong Qing was Third Prince’s di-son, and the third princess consort was naturally in a panic. Hong Sheng was Fifth Prince’s shu eldest son. Fifth Princess Consort just frowned and was not in a panic.
Lin Yu Tong was thinking how to take care of this when Hong Hui ran over, drew back his hand, and punched one of the other children.

The three responded, and then stood up.
Hong Hui saw that the emperor was calling for him, and looked worriedly at Lin Yu Tong. Lin Yu Tong smiled at him, nodding at him to say it was fine. Then he pulled Hong Yun’s hand and followed Li De Quan.
If the emperor was going to take charge, the women here could not say anything. Consort De shook her head at Lin Yu Tong minutely, indicating it was fine. She had served the emperor for half her life. She did not know his temper entirely, but could guess half.
Hong Yun was still crying and choking. Hong Hui whispered, “Do not cry. A-ma will not truly scold us. Khan A-ma will be on our side. What are you afraid of?”
“I want Di–Eniang,” Hong Yun said.
“We will come back later and find Eniang,” Hong Hui comforted him.

Hong Hui’s expression grew odd. Lin Yu Tong frequently said, face was not worth much money. It could not be eaten or drank.

Si Ye’s face was black.
Kangxi looked at Hong Hui and said, “You heard it, your younger brother was not hit, but you hit others. This is your wrong.”
Hong Hui looked up and said, “This grandson admits the crime, but not the wrong.”

Hong Hui immediately smiled. He jumped to the stool and sat. He got the sweet meats and shared them with Hong Yun.
Si Ye himself had no temper when he heard Hong Yun say as he ate, “I want to find Di–Eniang.”
Si Ye looked at the other opposite tower and saw Lin Yu Tong looking over. He knew she was worried about the children. He shook his head slightly, indicating that everyone was fine. She had taught the two children well.
Ninth Prince did not feel very good. What was meant by “people who only see silver will not be accomplished.” If Ye did not make silver, what could Ye do? Fourteen looked at Ninth Prince and knew what he was thinking. He laughed out loud. The child’s words were like a knife that stuck into Ninth Brother’s heart.

Hong Hui nodded and said, “This son knows.”
