The first part of eight little snippets(?) for this year’s Asian fan translation stats. Starting with the general distribution of languages.
The entire catalogue at Novel Updates is 3860. 615 were started in the previous seven months of 2018. Japanese projects still remain the majority at 49.9% while Chinese projects make up 43.18%. Additionally, there are now two more languages this year, Khmer and Vietnamese. Korean is a distant third for most common language.
My own thoughts: Not much to say as this general distribution and the ranking is similar to last year. Growth per month is the next part.
