轿子: There are many types of sedans which, during the Ming dynasty, have differences between them. There are sedans for the common people, the officials and then the Imperial Family (舆轿)
Sitting at the front: The picture shows a Japanese banquet with three seats at the front. Those are the seats of importance. In a banquet, the “highest” seats are for the highest-ranked in the room and the owner of the place or the person paying, like the CEO at the front of the boardroom. In the garden, there may have been only one seat at the front and the rest are all at the sides. Ranking is therefore determined by how “high” a person sits, similar to how close the official is to the Emperor during court.

Really?! Is it subtitled? How do you find the plot?
It’s currently subtitled up to Ep. 74. I’m now in Ep. 26 and I hope that the subtitling will be complete before I reach Ep 74 (’till ep 96).
I find the plot interesting so far and the drama is quite colorful (the costumes, the beauties, etc.). I checked Wikipedia and there are a lot of similarities with what are shown in the drama. I’m not just sure how far the drama took liberty with historical data.
